TTC on Letrozole

Hi everyone. I'm currently on CD21 after taking 5mg of letrozole for the first time.
On my CD14 scan, they said my follicles hadn't really progressed (only measuring just under 11mm) and my LH levels have been consistently low.
Today I have felt tired, off food, dull ache and some cramping down there all day (like period feeling). I did a LH test at midday and it was 0.1. Did one this evening and it was 0.48. But this is normal for the levels to fluctuate so much.
I'm unsure if i've ovulated as my clinic decided to abandon this cycle so no more scans.
I don't know what is supposed to happen next? Will I get a period if I haven't ovulated? Will I know if i've conceived if I don't have a period? I have PCOS so I take provera for withdrawal bleeds. I'm a loss! Anyone have any thoughts? 😩

Hi,

It’s an absolute minefield, you have my sympathy! So I too am on my first cycle of letrozole so just wanted to share my experience. I took 5mg CD2-6, had an instant spike of LH but then it dropped to negative OPKs. I finally got a positive OPK on CD14 so if I haven’t conceived I’m expecting my period on CD30. I think I’ve had a pretty much textbook letrozole cycle as I had strong ovulation cramps on CD14. Now being 4DPO I’ve had cramps on and off all day.

However, the cycle before this I don’t think I ovulated. Didn’t have any positive OPKs and my cycle went on until CD39, when I finally had AF. Advice is a bit conflicting but I’d assume if you didn’t ovulate, you’d eventually get a breakthrough bleed (which is what I think I had). It basically shifted my cycle by over a week.

Fingers crossed for baby dust for you, I know how hard the journey is x

Oh wow that's so good. I was hoping i'd be the same as I conceived 1st cycle of clomid 4 years ago.
I wonder what this cramping is I'm experiencing today? It's been all day. Feels like a dull period pain ache. Did you have this when you ovulated?
I'm hoping I just ovulate late but if not then i'll expect a bleed even though the nurse said I may not have one due to my PCOS. It's then knowing when to try again. I just need positive stories to get through what you said.. bloody minefield!!

Yeah, like a dull ache but specifically in my right lower area. I’ve only had ovulation pain like that a couple of times, one of which resulted in pregnancy. I think I ovulate generally but not strong enough so that’s why I was put on letrozole, although we didn’t manage to dtd on ovulation day so not holding out too much hope!

I’d keep testing and then look to do a progesterone test which can help indicate whether or not you ovulated.
