Ovulation - build up?

Hiii

I had my first real period after coming off the contraceptive pill earlier this month - so this is my first cycle.

I usually have standard 28-30 ish day cycles before the pill and ovulation around day 14-16

Assuming I'm having my typical cycle, shouldn't my ovulation tests start beginning to get darker now? This morning was so faint I could hardly see it!

Do you usually get a build up of darker lines or is it a sudden peak one day?

For reference my clear blue digital is flashing smiley which suggests some sort of hormone build up, but nothing on the strips

In my experience my OPK strips stay really low until about a day before ovulation so just keep going - It might change in a day or so! But also, when I had the Mirena removed it took a bit longer to ovulate than it has done since. I would imagine your body will need at least a few days, or more likely weeks, to stabilise. If you were also taking the pill for a few years your body and rhythms may have naturally changed too.

It definitely has taken weeks to stabilise haha it took 3 months for my cycles to return I was hoping that once my cycles returned they'd be pretty normal/regular but I guess we'll find out this month, but thank you! It's the flashing smiley on the clear blue that's confused me the most

my strips never really get to dark till I’m about to ovulate so this is mine and my high one came in this morning so I’ll ovulate tomorrow x

Mine tend to increase over 2 days, like i'll have nothing day 11, bit darker day 12 and then peak on day 13, then it drops down really quickly too!

This is mine at the moment, you should suddenly just your surge. I was getting EWCM since Sunday and ovulation cramps last night and today

Got my peak tonight DTD yesterday, partner won't be home for a few days now though. Did we do it at the right time?
