10/11 DPO bleeding but positive?

As the title sounds, have felt a little off and went to do a pregnancy test (used ovulation tests and DTD at the right time) as I was doing the test I realised I was bleeding. Currently day 29 and have a 31/32 day cycle. I never ever bleed early. The test was positive?!

I have absolutely no period pains at all. I'm assuming a chemical pregnancy but has this happened to anyone else?

Too add, it's also bright red blood (if that makes a difference

Hello, not much help but I’m about 9-10dpo today roughly and took a test and got a very faint positive and started bleeding, I’m having cramps though so I’m unsure - I’m taking it as a possible early chemical at the moment because I have painful cramps and moderate bleeding (not really light like implantation bleeding is but also not very heavy) hope this helps you’re not alone x

Im so sorry, It sounds like a chemical to me although I bled throughout my entire pregnancy with my twins but not that early. Implantation bleeding is usually brown or pinkish and is sparse. Bright red blood sounds like a period :( x

Yeah my gut says a chemical too. Bleeding totally like a period now so really doesn't feel or look like implantation. Trying to be stoic about it. I know it's super common and it's only our second month trying although we had three miscarriages at weeks 7, 9 and 11 before we had DS.

So sorry you're going through the stress too, I'm hoping for a positive outcome for you. TTC really is a bitch sometimes isn't it!

So sorry to hear that. Sending all my babydust and praying that next month you will be pregnant with a sticky baby :)

@kdmummyx oh that sucks I'm so sorry.

I'm ok, bleeding the same, just totally period like although I don't have any pain at all yet (my periods are usually moderately painful). My gut tells me this isn't right so will need to dust myself off and try and move on. Finding it hard as it takes me back to all our experiences before.

How are you feeling? Xx

Oh bless you, I’m sorry you’re going through this too😔

my bleeding is the same but I’ve got quite bad cramps so assuming it’s a full on period now - everything I’ve read about implantation bleeding is that it’s light and not painful and this is the opposite, just weird as I’m not even due on my period for another 8-9 days so just makes it extra confusing x

When I conceived I bled heavily, bright red with clots from 9dpo-13dpo. Heavier than my normal period. Got a positive at 12dpo and like you assumed I was having a chemical, however I'm now 14 weeks pregnant with a healthy baby. On the threads on this board a few people were quick to tell me that implantation bleeding is very light but I bled through several pads and here we are. I hope your little bean sticks 🤞

It is not the norm to bleed heavily through pads when you are pregnant. No bleeding throughout pregnancy is “normal” and implantation bleeding would not cause you to bleed like a period. People are quick to say that implantation should be light bleeding because it is.

PIXI90 · 17/12/2024 08:53

It’s cruel to give false hope to people, although bleeding can be caused by a number of things (hematomas, cervical changes etc) the amount of bleeding OP and you are describing would not be down to implantation. I am glad your baby was sticky.

YorkshirePeridot · 17/12/2024 20:57

I'm not trying to give false hope, I'm simply offering an alternative perspective as I've had a similar experience. My midwife confirmed it was likely implantation bleeding and said she occasionally has ladies that experience it more heavily than usual. No it might not be the norm but it is possible. Calling me cruel is unnecessarily harsh.
