Illness affecting periods

Brief background - awaiting test results for long cycles. Been pregnant twice even with long cycles, both ended in loss & under care of miscarriage clinic.

Mid week I was CD49, which is pretty standard for my period to arrive. I’ve had Covid or the flu & been in bed for almost a whole week. A couple of days in, I started spotting & had cramps. Not unusual for me, 2 days max is the most spotting I’ve had before AF appears. But it’s now been 4 days and the cramps stopped a couple of days ago, and the spotting has slowed right down.

I’ve read that illness can affect the menstrual cycle, but I’m still worrying. Pregnancy test is negative. Should I expect my period to turn up soon now that I’m getting better? Or is that it, I now won’t get a period until the end of a next cycle?

My last loss I had a d&c, and my periods since then have been very normal (apart from waiting ages for them to come because of the long cycles) but still freaking myself out about things like ashermans syndrome after this few days of spotting but no actual period
