Period late, negative test

Hi All,

Currently on cycle 6 of ttc my first.

I got my smiley face on a clear blue olulation stick on 30th November, but due to working away and other commitments, this cycle we've only dtd once on 2nd December, in the evening.

My period was due on Thursday, 10 days after we dtd and still hasn't made an appearance.

I tested on Friday and an early detection test was negative.

Is there any chance that it was still too early, even though it was the day after my period was due??

I'm usually regular, to within a day either side of my period due date.

I've also had a weird crampy feeling since yesterday, but higher up and not as intense as my usual period cramps.

Am I just clutching at straws? 😫

Did you ovulation at the usual time as your previous cycles? If you ovulated later maybe that's why you are still getting negative test. They say to dtd few days before peak and few days after so I think you are still in the running for a positive
