I’m not really sure what’s going on here, have I missed my peak or has it not happened yet?

Are you not testing in the morning? Just afternoon and then evening? It's definitely possible that this is the tail end of a peak coming back down.

How long is your cycle usually? I have a 25-29 day cycle. I ovulate on or around day 12/13 of my cycle. If your cycle is longer than it may happen much later than that. Keep testing until you find it.

@Stirrednshaken it was my understanding that it’s best to test from around midday onwards (although with this one I was a delayed because of work) as LH peaks early morning but it can take a few hours to show up in urine.

@Lulu89x its normally between 27-29 days. I think I might have missed it anyway this month as me and DP only managed to dtd on Monday night because of various other things we have had on this week.

That can be the case, but it's not the case for everyone. I've had peaks that I've found first thing in the morning. Given what's happened this month I'd say it's definitely worth testing first thing as well so that you don't miss it. Best of luck!

My peak always happens between 09:30 and 11:30. I've never, ever had one later. Everyone is different, so it makes sense to test in the morning, afternoon and evening if you're not sure when your peak usually happens. My peak is also extremely quick - we are talking zero to peak within half an hour and then back down again - so if I only ever tested in the afternoon or evening, I'd never see a peak.

Its very possible you missed it between CD 12 & 13 but if you DTD on Monday night you could still be in for a chance!

I’ve tested again this morning and had my peak today, don’t know if we will get chance to dtd tonight, would I still have a chance from Monday or is it unlikely?

I believe sperm can survive up to 5 days so it isn't 100% impossible.. if you can DTD tonight then of course that will increase your chances. If you've only hit your peak today, it means ovulation can happen anytime between 12 hours and 36 hours from now.. and the egg will survive 12-24 hours after ovulation.. good luck!

Stirrednshaken · 06/12/2024 14:46

I'd say unlikely from Monday as it will be a few more hours until your egg is released. But if you can squeeze in a quickie you're in with a really good chance! Best of luck!
