Ovulation test confusion , help?

Wondering if some of you lovely ladies can help if you can!
so I’ve been testing with ovulation strip tests since my period ended (cycle day 9 I started) and I’m now on cycle day 15. Cycle day 9 was light line then day 10 was slightly darker. Cycle day 11 afternoon was a lot darker and almost positive then cycle day 12 back to negative day and night . Day 13 the line was so faint I could barely see it and that was with first morning urine . Second morning urine it was a lot darker and almost positive again. Then that night it was negative . Same as day 14, pretty much positive afternoon then night was negative . Today I tested with second morning urine and it’s a lot more positive . I have sore (ish) boobs today if I poke them only. I have baby danced cycle day 9,10,11,12 and 14 , is it worth baby dancing again today I’m unsure if I’ve already ovulated or not . I’m getting pain in my right side but last time I felt ovulation pain it was my left side so I’m not sure if it’s even ovulation pain. I don’t temp and find it confusing , I wish it was simple !😭🤣

Are you using an app to track? I used Premom and it’s the only way I could properly see my ovulation day, and accurately work out the days to DTD around it!

No , I used to but it was inaccurate for me because my cycles are irregular!
I’m pretty sure I ovulated cycle day 13/14 last month because I came bang on time , where as sometimes I ovulate as late as cycle day 19/20 so it’s really hard to know !

Hi Op! Do you have a picture of your chart at all ? Do you log them into premum ? Looks like you could have peaked on day 12

hi! I don’t chart but here are some of my tests from cd 12 to now ! The first one being cd12 am and second pm and so on , the last one being todays which is the darkest it’s been

I never got on with urine OPK's, despite blood tests showing I do ovulate. I used a reusable, saliva OPK for years. Its like a tiny microscope and I found it much easier to read than the urine ones- and much cheaper overall! Very few people in the UK seem to have heard of them though.

I’ve never heard of saliva opks , never seen them here either! I’ve only ever seen saliva pregnancy tests !

It looks like you peak was definitely on cd12 op !
You DTD plenty of time before and on cd12, I think you'll be absolutely fine good luck for the 2WW !!

Isn’t a peak where the test line is a lot darker than the control ? Cycle day 12 looks negative ! Cd12 is the top 2 tests and the bottom one is today (the darkest) cd15.

Oh right sorry !! Cd15 is peak then ! I would DTD today ! (I thought bottom was cd12!)
I attach mine for you to see, the darker is indeed the peak ! You are then supposed to ovulate within 24 hours of the peak.

I shall jump on him when he gets here then 🤣 does that mean all the times before we’re probably useless and should go much as I can now ?? Thank u for showing me !

@Ellamaee the sperm can live up to 5 days in the cervix so not all is lost but getting one more session in is good !
I think the most important day to DTD is probs on peak day ! Good luck k !

Thank you ! Also, would sore boobs not be an indicator that ovulation has already happened ? Confused as to wether or not it’s already happened we’ve dtd so much that another few rounds seems like a chore now 🤣

yesterday my ovulation test was positive , as in they were the same colour so dtd . Today it is a dye stealer , tested 3 times today and all dye stealers and have had a few gushes of discharge . Partner is away so cant do the deed anymore this cycle 😭 was the first positive yesterday enough or will I have missed my chance ?

Girl, don't worry, last cycle I DTD the day before my peak and got pregnant, you'll be fine !! (I had a chemical pregnancy but still !) Try DTD tomorrow if OH around ?

its so confusing because I’ve had sore boobs since yesterday and ovary pains on and off , some people saying sore boobs after ovulation or before/during so it’s all so confusing 🤣

You’ll be covered! I only DTD ONCE the day before my peak therefore two days before ovulation. I’m now 5+ weeks pregnant 🤣

Oh that’s amazing congratulations! Sorry to ask so did you dtd cycle day 10 then get a peak reading cycle day 11?

Yes! DTD cycle day 10, peak CD 11. Positive pregnancy test 12 days later 🤣

Does anyone know why I’m on 3rd day of peak ovulation reading ?? I had the worst pain today so I’m assuming maybe ovulation has happened already . Should it not be going down now ? Worrying something is wrong . The line is so so dark that there is barely a control line🤣 3rd day of positives .

Hey girl! Some women peak for a couple of days before it goes down ! It's very different women to women !
How long have you been peaking for ?

i got a positive 3 days ago but then I got a peak yesterday afternoon and today , so around 3 days all in. So confused cause I’ve had sore boobs since then and in the worst mood possible. I’ve also never gotten lines so dark on an ovulation test before so this is really strange to me !
