Sore ovulation after early miscarriage last month

Had an early miscarriage last month. Have a 1 year old already. I noticed this month ovulation way sorer than usual. Really sore stabbing pains and shooting pains up my bum. Any idea why it would be so much sorer this time? Any experiences?

My ovulation pains this cycle were incredibly sore, too, just like what you were describing. I had this same sort of ovulation pain when I conceived DC1 and DC2, although not when I had a chemical pregnancy. Apparently it can relate to more follicular activity, so possibly a very robust follicle releasing a healthy egg. In my case, particularly painful ovulation has been an indicator of a very good chance at conception. Sorry about your early miscarriage last cycle and best of luck!

Thank you that is extremely reassuring. I was starting to worry something was wrong. Thank you fingers crossed 🤞🏼

Hello, couldn't pass by without saying I'm pretty sure I'm ovulating either today or tomorrow and I've had terrible cramps and shooting bum pains since this afternoon. I gave birth prematurely in September and have had terrible trouble with the shooting butt pains ever since. It must be something hormonal!

Wishing you the best of luck, when do you think you will (or have already) ovulate?

Yes it must be hormonal. After I had my baby last year when I was bleeding for 6 weeks or so postpartum I was getting the bum pains a lot then, it was a nightmare!! Spoke to gp she also said hormonal no one could give me a reason.

I think I ovulated today based on pain. I’m still breastfeeding my first and I’m finding my body keeps gearing up to ovulate multiple times across a week or two. Like I get lots of ovulation attempts then it finally happens. All just based on signs im keeping track of. I figured it was just down to maybe breastfeeding affecting hormones, no idea tho!
