Hi everyone,

I have some questions on this supplement:

What is your experience with Coq10?
Any brands better than others?
Also, ubiquinol better than ubiquinone?

Thanks 🙏🏻

I've been using Pharma Nord Bio-Quinone Active Q10 Gold x2 per day. It was recommended in the 'It starts with the egg' book as a brand with good data available. But it is quite pricey! General consensus seems to be that ubiquinol is best, or a formulation of bio-quinone which is specially designed to be better absorbed like the Pharma Nord version. I don't know that it's helped (we were not able to conceive naturally which I suspect is due to other factors) but when I did all my recent first scans/tests for IVF I had a lot of eggs and a good AMH for my age (36). Could just be genetics as women in my family often have babies into their late thirties/forties, but I figured CoQ10 couldn't hurt. However, a warning my partner tried to take it, same brand, and it made him so nauseous I swopped him onto lycopene instead. I am a bit sceptical about lots of supplements, healthy lifestyle yes but even then you can do everything perfectly and it doesn't make any difference. Depends what your issue is - if its egg quality/low AMH, go for it. If not and you're young, probably not worth it.
