Hiya,

I'm hoping for some reassurance or someone who's been in same boat.

So I stopped taking mini-pill beginning of October and we started trying for second without waiting for me to have a period.

Still not had a period but pregnancy test at weekend was negative.

I know silly to be worrying now as only been a couple of months trying but DS was a surprise baby (was using condoms) so no idea how long would have tried for him, and we decided if not pregnant by end of December would pause trying until June 2025 for a variety of reasons.

I guess just looking for others in the same boat to talk to as none of my friends in real life are trying to conceive (as far as I'm aware).

TIA

After stopping the pill it's normal for it to take some time to go back to normal. It took my body over 2 months to have a period. I know some people had a longer wait even.

I used the combined pill for just over a decade and it also took 2 months to get my period. I think it was 4 to 5 months before they started to settle down

Your body will go back to normal but it's going to be a little bit of time (nothing compared to coming off the depo injection I believe)

I doubt anyone will see this but just in case this is my experience - it took 6 months for my period to return (stopped mini-pill in October and first period was March) but came back regular straight away.

We're still trying to conceive after having paused in December as planned and restarted trying in May.
