Hey guys so after a 3 week delay in my previous period last month, a faint positive and then having my period me and my partner decided to start ttc properly. We’d been taking the “see what happens” approach.

i purchased a clear blue advance digital ovulation kit. I got high fertlilty on day cd6 and 7 and then peak fertility on day cd8. I only started testing so early (day after my last day of period) as my cycle has been shocking for the last year. Sometimes 2 weeks late sometimes 28 day cycle back to being late and so on. So they’ve been irregular. I basically just wanted to know at what point I’m ovulating.

my worry is that I’ve ovulated quite early? Would this possibly mean that the egg wasn’t mature enough or that the lining wouldn’t have had time to build up properly or both?

I am however still testing just incase it was only a peak and I didn’t release an egg. I’m on cd 16 and continuing to get negative results.

has anyone had anything similar and had a successful pregnancy? We’ve dtd every other day so far.

thank you

I’ve just had a solid smiley on a test again. This is cd 15. We last dtd 5 days ago and now I’m worried that I’m actually ovulating and I’ve missed it. I’ve got sharp pains like ovulation pains. If we dtd today will it still work?

I can’t say about the clear blue and timing of ovulation but if you ovulated you have a very short window after it for it to count. It’s usually easier to DTD before because sperm can hang around for days but on the day of ovulation has a chance too if it’s in time. It just needs to get to the tube to meet the egg in time. Good luck and DTD if you can, what’s the harm it can only help?

I used easy at home cheap ovulation sticks and the premom app. Worked well for us. Used it twice to conceive. I did try clear blue on the very first month with temping and I think it was user error on my part but it didn’t match my temp at all for confirming ovulation whereas the easy at home did match with my temp to confirm it.
