Hello.
I was just wondering if anyone could shed some light or share their experience if they’ve had this or similar happen.

im 4 days late and testing negative. I usually get periods every 28days, might get a longer cycle the odd time (31). Me and my partner had unprotected sex on day 11 & 26, according to the app I ovulated on day 15 but day before ovulation I had spotting? (Only lasted a couple of hours) Which I’ve never had before now I know this could be ovulation spotting, this would definitely not be implantation bleeding but this threw me off and now I’m thinking if im pregnant or my period is just really running late 😔 I’m a very anxious person and this wait is really bothering me I know if I was pregnant surely would’ve had a positive result by now but I don’t feel like I’m gonna come on my period either. There was a day when I thought I came on, a day before I was meant to
come on but obviously it hasn’t happened. I’m not stressed or on any medication either so really I’m not sure why it’s so late 😬

any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Have you tracked ovulation with OPKs or BBT? Otherwise what your app tells you will just be based on your average cycle. Sometimes our bodies chuck a random cycle at us for no rhyme or reason. In the last 3 years I've had 3 or 4 24 day cycles (with ovulation on CD12!). If you only DTD on CD11 and 26 it's not that likely you're pregnant if you did ovulate on CD15 (but not completely impossible) but at 3 days late a test would show a clear positive by now. If you ovulated later it's even less likely- unless you did so on CD26 or later, in which case you've still got a bit of time to wait. Good luck!

No im not tracking, I've always just stuck to the app as both the times I got pregnant the dates were more or less right. I really don't think I am tbh, but would just like to know if I am or not it it makes sense. Also the little spotting I had completely threw me off as never had anything like it before 🥲 I've also read a few posts on here where girls were late for days and couple of weeks and still got positives, I'll be happy either way just wanna know what's going on. Thanks for your reply!

If you have regular cycle (and know you ovulate) going by the app would often work fine, but it could be useful to use OPKs or track your temperature to check your ovulation is when the app thinks it is! Back when I was TTC my first two, this was crucial as my cycle was all over the place. DD2 was actually conceived on CD24!!! I would never have known if I wasn't tracking...

This time around my cycles seem to have become more regular and I tend to ovulate on CD15 or 16...but a 12 day LP means these cycles are still mostly 28 days long.
