We used SMEP to conceive baby #1. We are now trying for #2 and doing the same.

I ovulated today, CD15. Am I right in thinking we will now DTD 14, 15, 16, 17 and 19?

Tomorrow's worth a go (simply because you can't always narrow ovulation down to a specific day - and it only can be confirmed with BBT after the event), but the most important days are in the run up to ovulation rather than afterwards. I think O-1 tends to be the key day. Am I right in remembering SMEP is every other day up to your fertile window, every day in the 3 days before predicted ovulation, then once for luck the day after?

There's no point having sex two days after ovulation. One day is also pointless if you ovulated when you think you do, but worth a go in case your slightly off with your dates. It's the four days running up to ovulation when your fertility increases (peaking on the day before ovulation basically). But with sperm meets egg you just have sex every other day all month.

As per other posters you may have missed this month. We just had sex every other day ish, sometimes more, from period ending so like day 9 until period due date ( I wasn’t tracking ). If you are tracking I think they say to say to start having sex cd8 every other day till you get a positive opk then do it 3 consecutive days, skip a day, then do it once more.

@Stirrednshaken sorry, not using clear blue just ovulation strips so show I'm due to ovulatenin next 3 days. So when I say positive it's the the test being positive for ovulation in next 3 days

Are you talking about LH strips? Because when you get a positive on those it's ovulate within 12-24 hours? X

@Stirrednshaken yes I'm using One Step strips and it says 24 to 48 hours after the surge

It's a bit of an inexact science but I tend to ovulate the day after a positive LH strip (then AF follows 13 days afterwards, so 12 day luteal phase).

Just checked and the strips inuave say 24 to 36 hours after the positive on the strip.

It's just cos I ovulated on an odd number day then seems like DTD even more! Shattered as it is!
