Low BBT

For those who temp, what would you consider to be a low bbt measurement? For the past 4 or 5 days my bbt has ranged between 35.69 to 35.95, which is very low for me. I should also be ovulating as I'm on CD18 however this appears to be delayed. I track using ovulation strips and also had a scan done on CD16, which showed no dominant follicles. Rescan tomorrow.

We are TTC, and taking letrozole to induce ovulation however this hasn't been working. This is the first month however where I have had such low temps, and I'm wondering if there is something I need to look into with my clinic - bloods of some sort?

My follicular phase would be 36.2 - 36.5. I think anything above 36.0 is considered 'normal', so yes I'd probably consider asking a doctor about this. Has your thyroid been checked?

Thanks, I've had a look back through previous temp charts and can't see any where they've been so consistently low, seems my follicular phase would usually have similar to temps you've mentioned. So I'm definitely going to mention it at my next app in the clinic.

I did get my thyroid checked in May, and the results were TSH: 1.84 mIU/L. I was told this was normal. I last had it checked in December 2021 and it was 2.36, so a bit of a difference - not sure if that matters.

I know it’s already been answered but I checked mine and they’re all above 36 expect one months ago was 35.97 (so very close to 36) and that temp was the last temp before my big ovulation temp jump.

it was also my first month temping so accuracy was not great that month and I also experienced a sixteen week loss the month before so god know what was really happening in my body.

Here's a picture of mine from this month. My period is supposed to arrive today, but I think it will be a day or two late as I ovulated a couple of days later than usual this month.

I'll clarify that I'm NOT TTC this month. I'm in recover from a second trimester loss. I gave birth to my little boy at 19 weeks in September and am tracking my cycles to see how they're doing since then.

I've had a couple of low temps, particularly just before I ovulated somewhere either the night of CD17 or the morning of CD18. I temp with a thermometer now, but I previously used my Apple watch and found my temps were consistently low while using it. Presumably because it measures wrist temp, which is on an extremity. Do you measure using a thermometer or a wearable?

Mine were always in the 35's so I think it's just like that for some people. My Thyroid is also normal

Pre ovulation im always below 36 and my thyroid seems fine so I think some people might just run cooler?

So my last very low 35.8 but my most recent one is higher.

My mum had hypothyroidism, so I get tested often .

I just started temping, so I’m not quite sure if this is a good cycle .
