Hi,

I am new to all of this. I have just come off the pill after 8 years and I was just wondering how long it took other people to conceive. I am very impatient!

i'm afraid there's no answer. Some people fall preg immediately. Others, like me, wait months/years. I stopped pill at the end of July last year, still waiting (I have PCOS though). It can take a long time for your periods to get back to normal too. So don't panic if your cycles are all over the place for a few months

hi wanttbm i came off the pill end of jan and my first cycle was 55 days.

Just got first period today 71 days after stopping pill. I was on it for 8 years too. Look out for the egg white cervical mucus stuff. When you see that you should know you've ovulated and AF should be on its way.

It is different for everybody - I came off the pill (after about 14 yrs) and 6 weeks later was pregnant
The second time it took nearly 10 months to fall pregnant

I came off the pill in October - cycle that month was 35 days. Didn't TTC until third month off and got pregnant right away.

I came off the pill after approx 12 years and got PG first cycle - was totally shocked.

Now have 13mo DD and expecting DC#2 in December after getting pregnant on the first cycle again - even more shocked!!
