Clinic Advice ARGC vs CRGH

Hi all, I’m 42 years old and been undergoing IVF for a year in Cyprus and now moving my treatment to the UK (London based).
Its been a mind field trying to go through all the clinics available and think I’ve narrowed it down to ARGC and CRGH Great Portland, just because they seem to be best two around and I want to have the best shot possible.
Has anybody used these clinics and have any advice or experiences that might help to decide or any other recommendations to look up?
Thank you

Hi
i hope you don’t mind me msg you. I’m currently looking at fertility clinics in northern Cyprus and any information would be helpful. There’s so much on the internet and I just don’t know which clinic to go for. I would be grateful for any information. Thank you

Hi Nicoba
My Cyprus clinic was in Nicosia not in the north. It was called ISIS.
I have been told that there are also brilliant clinics either in the north or in Turkey but to be honest, the international factor was quite exhausting and so I’m not looking into these for now.

I would not recommend CRGH - they are not flexible at all and their current success rates are not the same as what they were on the HFEA website. On the other hand ARGC doesn't publish any success rates and if you ask them they say they don't track them which is BS, of course they do as they have to report them to the HFEA. I wish I could give you better advice.

Hi @Gig82, just wondering which clinic you ended up going with and if it all worked out for you?

Hi @NSC1982
I went with CRGH in the end. I did a duo stim back to back egg collection in May which resulted in 3 embryos but after testing they were all abnormal. I am now doing 3 back to back egg collections to try and get more embryos before testing but my age will be my biggest set back.. but got to be in it to win it!
I believe that I would have a problem with ANY clinic I go to because the more failures you have the more disappointment comes with it and I end up blaming clinics when actually their protocols are all very similar and they do try give you the best chances.
I’m fairly happy with mine but I have no other London clinics to compare it to!

@Gig82, thanks so much for the reply. I’ve been looking at CRGH and Lister and keep changing mind but you’re right that the protocols and outcome will likely be similar whichever one I go to. I’m 42 too so feels like it’s now or never to try IVF really…
three back to back egg transfers sounds intense but agree, you’ve got to give it everything! really hope it works out for you this time
