18 day cycle?

Hi,
Just wondered if anyone has experienced anything similar.
Ive been trying to conceive for 7 months after a miscarriage in April.
I had an unusually light period 18 days ago, it lasted 2-3 days.
Since then I’ve been tracking ovulation but my LH has been really low, then last night my period has started only 18 days after the last one.
Usually my cycles are 28 days like clockwork.
Has anyone experienced anything similar?
I’m just under 30 so don’t think it’s an age thing and it definitely feels like a period as it’s very heavy, red and I have the usual cramps.

Sorry for your loss in April. I had a D&C in March and it took until May for my period to return.

When it did, I was expecting a proper one, but I bled for about three days and it was very light, then it stopped. I LH tested and couldn't pin down ovulation at all, despite doing them every few hours.

18 days later, another bleed started. I got a HUGE amount of EWCM during the last few days of that period (it lasted longer, still lighter than usual but 7 days of bleeding). We'd been doing the deed anyway without protection as we didn't think anything would happen while I was having 18 day cycles. I fell pregnant and had a positive test another 18 days after CD1 of that second bleed, so I ovulated on day 8 or 9. So 18 really was the lucky number for me that month!

Sadly, I lose that baby at 19 weeks, but I still can't believe how short that cycle was and how well it worked out (loss not due to baby, bless him, he was perfect). I know it's hard when you're desperate to try again. I hope things settle for you soon.

Thanks for your reply, it’s comforting to hear of similar experiences.
So sorry to hear about your losses, that must have been heartbreaking, sending you lots of love and baby dust.
