Does anyone here have ovulation bleeds or ever had an implantion bleed?

And could please discribe it to me? I had some light brown spotting / gunky stuff on day 18 of my cycle lasting 3 days this month. Very light and no need for a tampon. No cramps or any other symptoms. After googling i've read it could be either an ovulation bleed or an implantation bleed. Any experiences of either?

Hiya - I've not had either (so I can't really share but didn't want to read and run)but I have read that it can be a pinkish or brownish mucus.

Yours does sound like it could be an implantation bleed if you ovulated early.

If the blood is bright red then it's probably not implantation. Yours sounds like it wasn't red though so fingers crossed.

Thanks. There was no bright red at all just brown coloured light discharge.

Thanks smallcat, i can't find the other thread! I have very irregular periods anything from 30 - 60 days so never have any idea when i'm due on. But, if this was an ovulation bleed that would mean i would be due on in 14 days?

I had an implantation bleed lasting 2 days, very slight, brown blood. It was on days 13 and 14 post ovulation. Thought AF had come early but tested +ve at 16 dpo.

I've been researching it this afternoon and it seems that implantation bleeds usually occur 6-12 dpo but can also start as early as 4 dpo and tend to be brown lasting 2-4 days whereas ovulation bleeds are red and last a few hours but there is so much contradictory information out there that its anyones guess! I think for me its just a freak one off as i rarely ovulate and am unlikely to be pregnant as dp has a very low sperm count.
I will ask at the gp i think for my hormones to be checked.
