Hi

I had to go for 2 progesterone tests this month - one a 6 dpo and one at 8 dpo. The 6 dpo test was 49, which is the highest I have ever had, but the 8dpo yesterday was only 23. I'm wondering if the drop means that I am definitely out this month?

I'm also wondering if your progesterone can drop too quickly? I am struggling with short luteal phase, so maybe that is why.

Any experiences or advice welcome. Feeling super deflated today.

Thanks

I'm certainly not an expert so no advice I'm afraid, but I'm in similar boat - had my progesterone tested on day 21 (only 3dpo) last month, and it was 17.4 which I'm told was within normal ranges (16-28 apparently) but on the lower side?

It's a minefield, also struggling with short luteal phase. TTC #2 for almost a year

@groseaur I'm sorry to hear you are also struggling. How old is your first?

We are also trying for #2 for a year and a half now. I never expected us to struggle with the second so it's been quite an emotionally draining journey so far.

It is a minefield! Last month mine was 21.3 and my specialist said it's "lower than he likes it". This month I had the 49, but it ended up making no difference to my luteal phase at all. I'll probably need to start taking progesterone next round, but who knows.

It's odd that they tested you on day 21 despite it being only 3dpo. From what I understood the target is always 7dpo 🤔

Do you have any clear next steps?
