Hey just checking in to see congrats to everyone who got their BFPs so far! V encouraging! I think I am out this month as I have zero symptoms other than a few cramps which I get before AF anyway. Due on at the weekend. Sigh

Although it seems like quite a few ladies on here had a BFP the month they had zero symptoms so I'm holding out a teensy bit of hope!

I had zero symptoms.. have still zero symptoms.. so you're not out until AF shows :)

Okay so after having an absolute sob to DH last night because there was pink when I wiped and I was sure AF would be here by this morning.. I think I might have a vfl? 10dpo
Trying not to get my hopes up because I’ve been so crampy and it feels like period pain.. 🤷🏻‍♀️ fingers crossed it turns into something

Def looks positive. The cry sounds like preggo hormones too!

RG84 · 10/12/2024 16:16

Confused, 7 days late on my period however progrestone blood test showed I didn't ovulate. My period hasn't been consistent this year so is it a case of a delayed period or a miracle. Too scared to check if I'm honest. Leaving it as late as possible.

Hey all, just got back from holiday and tested this morning (16 dpo) as my period was late, got a BFP - which is super exciting, we took this last cycle relaxed and I didn't track and I was a lot less stressed by it all. Feeling good (maybe too good with zero symptoms which has me worried a bit) but I'm just trying to enjoy this pregnancy and hope baby sticks this time.

Baby dust to all who have got BFN or AF and wishing all the best for the next cycle, and congratulations to those with BFP and everything progresses well ♥️

Congrats. That is a wonderful post holiday treat. <3

No harm in leaving it a few days, if you are pregnant - then your line will get stronger over the next few days.

I wouldn't be able to resist however!

@TruthUnwinding I had a m/c in 2021 and took nearly 2 years to have a rainbow baby. At that time, I left it over 2 weeks after a missed period because I didn't want to be disappointed. Feeling the same way and really hoping this is a miracle and not a delayed AF 😔 I'm off on Friday so going to hold off until then

I completely understand. I have had four losses and no living child, the two week wait is even more excruciating for those of us who have had m/c's. :(

@TruthUnwinding I'm sorry to hear that. It's so hard isn't it. Month after month of trying. I hope you get your rainbow baby soon 🙏🏽

Still no period. Still negative test. Very usual for me to be this late. Cycle is usually 26 days but entering 35 days tomorrow. Somethings wrong

Sunch · 10/12/2024 20:30

Hi ladies, I could really do with some advice about something that has been niggling at me for a while now. I haven’t had an outpatients appt for a scan to check that the D&C I had went okay after my MC earlier this year in April. I’ve been on the waiting list for the longest, I’ve asked my doc to no avail and now I’m thinking it may be best to pay and have it done myself because NHS is just stressful. If I were to go private, what type scan or procedure would I be asking for and any recommendation of clinics would be much appreciated. Because we are TTC, but what if things are not okay? Thankyou in advance x

Sorry to hear you’re going through this - think perhaps call docs for peace of mind.

Marie1990x · 10/12/2024 21:00

Oh girlssss I’m sat here tonight like an emotional bloody wreck. I think it’s time to call it a day with ttc!
Hope everyone gets their bfp’s soon 😊💫

Is this proov Pdg tests? Those tests gave me a "weak ovulation" reading but all my blood tests came back fine, so I think hormones fluctuate too much to rely on urine tests. They are helpful indicators, but they are not the be all and end all, so please don't get down about them.
I am on a different forum and the amount of questions which are like "I didn't get a peak reading on my LH test does this mean I didn't ovulate." Or related to that, "I have finally got my peak reading when should I START having sex to get pregnant" 😱

CoolSummer89 · 11/12/2024 08:02

AF has arrived for me. Having a pop tart for breakfast to commiserate, here's to one last roll of the dice in 2024.

rebecca199 · 11/12/2024 08:30

@CoolSummer89 yes it's Proov pdg :)
Okay that's useful to know! I'm going to speak to docs anyway as I have a short LP so hopefully I can get some proper tests done!

Sorry to hear AF arrived 😢 enjoy the pop tart!

Hi all,

I’m just wondering what other people’s thoughts are on drinking alcohol during tww? I’ve been invited to a day drinking/lunch thing this Saturday with friends for a Christmas meet up and we rarely get to do this sort of thing nowadays. I will be 7dpo, that said we haven’t really tried properly this month it was more of a “see what happens” thing, we only dtd on day 1 of fertile window and then on 1dpo, so I don’t think the chances are great anyway. We have also just started with not being careful so we haven’t been ttc long.

My friends are aware and understanding but they will want to drink, do you think I could go and just not drink much?

Just for context I’ve had recurrent miscarriage with a previous partner however have never ttc with current partner until now. I always got pregnant first cycle with previous partner however this was over 3 years ago now and I’m now 32. Earliest I’ve had a positive test is at 9dpo and was faint at that point.

Hey everyone, still no AF today. Cycles are usually 26-29 days but on day 33 now, negative test results so not sure what's happening. Could've ovulatd late. I'll attach my Flo app of when we could've conceived. Just really confused. No sign of period either.

If I have like a big event or something I will have a few, I think the TTC journey is tough and we deserve to test ourselves sometimes!
I wouldn't necessarily drink as much as I would pre TTC but I see no harm in having a couple!
I just avoid drinking if it's just like an ad hoc trip to the pub to see friends/family for a couple hours. But do let myself enjoy some if it's something special happening! X

rebecca199 · 11/12/2024 13:15

Hello! I'm not an expert, but from what I've read, if there is not a plants and an umbilical cord, you can't transmit anything to the baby (from what you eat or drink) and in the early days there is definitely not a placenta.. I personally did not drink in the TWW cause that affects the BBT and I was temping, so since I wanted accurate results, I preferred not to drink alcohol.. but that you have some drinks on 7 dpo should not be a problem imo
