Hi

I’m just looking for some advice really. I have a daughter who has just turned one and we wanted another child but didn’t plan on it being yet.

Basically the condom come come off and I took the morning after pill and it hasn’t worked. I’m going to go ahead with pregnancy but should I tell the doctor I have taken the morning after pill etc? It is obvious it is not planned as I’ve been having some issues with my thyroid and am under them for that.

Thank you! X

It won't hurt to mention it to your GP or even MW when you have one

You won't be the first person who is going ahead with an unplanned pregnancy. I'd mention it just so they are aware but I don't think it impacts a baby so early on. Midwives and doctors will be supportive of you.

Congratulations!!

On a side note I have thyroid problems and I'd request an urgent referral to endocrine if you haven't already seen them as your TSH should be below 2 when pregnant.
