for you, I have the opportunity to freeze my eggs for free in France, so I will do this as soon as I’m back after summer and press pause for a year. I’ll be 36 when we restart which I think isn’t the end of the world! Maternity pay is v different than in the uk.

So those tests did turn out to be bfp, got a slightly darker line confirming and a 1-2 week on a digital on 12DPO albiet with practically zero symptoms except exhaustion - unfortunately since then my tests haven't had any line progression and from yesterday have started to lighten 😞 I surmise either by tomorrow or Friday they'll be showing negative. Flo is saying I'm 5+1.

Could I ask, the girls who have dealt with chemicals, how did your line progression go? How far along did it start declining and how long after did you get your bleed?

I haven't had any spotting or anything thus far but I cant imagine it's too far behind.
I have blood tests booked for Friday and a viability scan booked for the 15th but it's not looking like ill be having to make those 😞

The positive im taking from this is that we now know we are able to get pregnant and that everything is working as it should, for the most part, just need a sticky lil fellow! 🙏

H lovely, I’m so sorry for this 😔 could you not get blood tests ? Because I think like progression is really a tricky one and sometimes doesn’t mean that much…
my chemical was very quick, tested positive and bled the next day.

If i still haven't had a bleed by Friday I will still go ahead with the bloods just so I can get a clearer answer of what's going on, coz right now I'm just driving myself crazy over little lines and the fact I have absolutely no symptoms where ad before I couldn't keep eyes open and was having very slight metallic taste but now it's all vanished.

Im trying not to hang my hopes on line progression but seeing all conflicting information and opinions online. Just need to step away from the Internet and the tests.
Seeing many people say "a line means pregnant and thats that" - so trying to hold onto that thought but also trying to prepare myself 🤷🏻‍♀️🙏

hey ladies, I thought I’d share my feelings on here because where else really ?!
since AF showed up on 10DPO instead of 11/12 dpo, I’ve been feeling really odd. Now, I’m definitely not one to think I’m pregnant or to symptoms spot as I’m usually on the pessimistic side of things. But my period started with only light pink spotting. Then it continued for 3 days with actual blood. No doubt I was out. The only thing is how painful it was in my lower back to the point of needing a hot water bottle. and nothing on my front weirdly enough. The pain only lasted 1 night. I only had this during my chemical pregnancy but thought nothing of it. After all, I’m bleeding so it’s AF.
AF finished on Sunday; and since then I’ve kept the fuller boobs with occasional needles but not that painful. I feel nauseous after breakfast but also constantly hungry. Again I didn’t think anything of it until the last 3 days where I’ve been having uterus cramps and weeing very often like 2/3 times at night as well.
i haven’t taken a test because I think I’m imagining Things and my body is being really weird. But last night I was up 3 times for a week and the third time I also had period like cramps (CD9, on 33/32 day cycle) and I just questioned myself whether I am being completely ridiculous or whether I should test ( I mean this would be completely ludacris to expect a bfp but idk …) 🤷🏻‍♀️ thanks for reading this far!

I went to the drs this morning, she was same age as me and absolutely amazing! Was like talking to a friend who could facilitate things for me. I now don’t live in London but I’m still not old (37) and can have IVF until I’m 42 here if I needed.

She was telling me that in the UK if u have ivf egg collection then they freeze the viable embryos for you (you then pay for cost of storage) which I thought was insanely appealing (I was thinking whether I should have my eggs frozen)

anyway I feel much more positive about it all and she was pretty confident I’d definitely have a baby and I feel relaxed to be back in the system

Hi everyone,

Cheapies still showing a very faint line, much like they were when I first tested.
Tried a FRER with fmu yesterday and it practically came up white, where as the cheapie had a line.
Ive seen alot of people talk about how they test stronger at different parts of the day and my OPKs always test darkest around 2pm - so I tried another FRER and cheapie about 40 minutes ago and they're the same, a complete squinter/almost nothing on the FRER and vvfaint on the cheapie.

My head is all over the place tbh and ive consigned myself to it being a CP but I just wish it would hurry up at this point. Ive had practically zero line progression for 5 days and yet still no bleeding. Im wondering if it's possible to have a mmc at this stage (appx 5+2) and wont have a bleed until my next period is due?

I really just want to stop testing and have a definitive answer. My GP is due to phone me tomorrow to refer me for hcg bloods (which will probably end up being taken on Monday) so I think if still showing faint lines and no bleed I will go ahead and take them just to try clarify things.

Im hoping this means they will maybe give me some medications to try and boost the odds of staying pregnant, due to my age etc.

By my calculations I'm 19DPO and 7 days late.

In pregnancy limbo. The first symptom I had was fruit/veg tasting like mould/dirt (🤣🤣) and it had all disappeared but this morning it came back. So honestly who knows..im exhausted with it all 😳

Ohhh @littlebluu I’m sorry you’re in this limbo, not an easy place to be. Definitely have the bloods if you haven’t had a bleed by the time they’re offered. I know they can’t see anything on a scan before sort of 6w baby wise but the monitoring of HCG should help them determine what’s going on.

@Lila34830 I think you just take the test.. there is no other way your mind is gonna rest. Some implantation bleeds can be mistaken for a real period for sure.

Morning guys just thought I would pop in for a wee update - the GP referral Dr called me and was just asking some basic questions, I told him I'd gotten a 1-2 weeks on digital on Saturday but that the test I had taken yesterday was very faint - I didnt tell him I'd been testing daily and that there was no progression I dont know why 🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️ He had just woken me up, and kind of steam rolled me and the way he was talking like he had absolutely no intention of sending me for bloods anyway 🙄 He said he wouldnt expect a strong strip test as its still very early and to test again in a week. He also asked some questions abt my medications and double checked that they were safe during early pregnancy, I am on 10mg of propranolol and he's stated that if I'm able to, to come off it as in testing it's been shown to cause growth issues and blood sugar issues. So im wondering if it's been that, thats caused the pregnancy not to progress.

Anyway regardless, took a fmu strip today and it's practically negative so theyre definitely getting lighter - im just at the point I wish it would hurry up and just bleed and pass now, I'm getting really frustrated at my body I l feel like it's mocking me 😅

Aw @littlebluu tbh I think medical professionals completely disregard progression on tests anyway, they say if it’s positive your pregnant for now and a test isn’t used to measure progression so don’t stress that you didn’t mention it, as I don’t think it would have changed the outcome.

Have they given any advice what you do next week at all if it is still showing a faint line?

I can’t imagine it is your tablets that would have caused a chemical pregnancy if that’s how this turns out, especially as that’s such a low dose (only know as my mum is on a much higher one).

He really didn't seem too concerned with the faintness of lines etc, he just said if I'm usually very regular with periods (im like clockwork) and its 8 days late with a positive digital then I'm pregnant, and that it's so early that the hormone isn't usually high enough to warrant blood tests so not to fret about a faint line. He seemed very positive, but I suppose it's not been him testing 7 times a day every day for a week 😅😅 He gave me the number of the maternity team to register with and said they'd want to see me usually about 8 weeks to then take bloods, however I think I noticed some vv light spotting as I wiped nothing ago and ive had medium period like cramps on and off all day so I think this might be the start of it 😔

If so tho, I'm glad its been a straight forward CP and not something more serious..(ive been deep diving and freaking myself out about ectopic and molar pregnancies 😬) - ive read about alot of success stories after CPs too..
At least now DH and I can draw a line under it and move forward 🙏

Hey everyone this will probably be my last update for a wee while and ill go back to lurking, unfortunately after the spotting on Friday I started bleeding and am in the process of a chemical - i have kept my private scan appt but theyve changed it to a wellness scan for me so we can see how everything's looking afterwards.

I had a question for you ladies as I’ve decided to stop opks. But I still kind of want to keep an eye on my cycle. How long before ovulation do you tend to get EWCM ? I’ve been very diligent on a healthy diet, supplements this month and my cycle is usually 31/33 days, but I am CD17 and I’ve had big blobs (gosh sorry tmi) of EWCM for the past 2 days when usually I get it a bit later around ovulation (CD21) I’m starting to think improved diet and supplements with less stress shortened this cycle.

How are you all doing? I’m almost 16w now and we found out we’re having a little boy 🩵. We have our baby moon booked for a couple of weeks time. I am still finding I get quite anxious at times like any little cramp freaks me out and when I go to the loo or feel discharge I am assessing it for blood. Touch wood all seems to be going well so far, but I don’t know if the anxiety will ever leave. After the 20wk scan I am hoping I start to feel a little more relaxed.

@Gemmaemilyx @HE93C how have you two coped towards the end in this heat? Are you both almost ready for their arrivals now?

on my side, we DTD around EWCM randomly and I wasn’t tracking ovulation. I then spotted on 9DPO for 2 days with light brown / pink creamy cm. So I was like maybe I could be pregnant ? But this month I had no sore boobs that I usually get before AF or cramps. Then AF arrived. It’s on its end and only lasted 48 hours but it was normal flow to definitely AF. And now I’m getting kind of shooting pain in my boobs. My hormones must be all over the place !

Oh gosh I’ve just seen about a months worth of messages that I didnt get a notification for!! Hope you’re all ok ladies and glad to see people still posting and looking out for eachother.

@KT199 congrats on your boy! We are having a surprise so don’t know which way it will go yet! with regards to the anxiety, I’ve found that I was back and forth to the MAC unit a lot worried I’d not felt them from around 18 weeks to 20 odd weeks but since their kicks have got stronger my anxiety seems to have gone away as they’re there reminding me they’re ok! Hopefully this happens for you too! My placenta is at the front too which makes it harder to feel the kicks so that played into it with me too, hopefully yours isn’t in the way like mine!

Ive got 6 weeks to go but also hoping for a moving date before then to move how so wish us luck 😂
