@Lila34830 so sorry, just read the thread name rather than full description. I will bow out of here then. I know it must sound grating when I've already got 2 DDs, but those two were quite the journey too, at 16 and 12 months TTC respectively (even when I was at a less dinosaury age) so sadly I'm far too seasoned at this game, but equally sadly, existing DCs doesn't make the process much easier (even though I know I need to be so grateful for what I have). I wish you all good luck, and wishes for sticky beans for those of you who have recently had BFPs.

Top tip: once you're past AF due date and have fairly decent lines, try to wean yourself off the tests - the ICs in particular can be a bit variable with dye so don't panic if you don't get dye stealers. And if you do, remember it's a snapshot of that particular day and can't necessarily predict the future. Book in an early scan if that's reassuring, but other than that you just kinda have to wait and see how the rest of the pregnancy goes. Symptoms can mean everything and nothing, as can comparisons with past experiences. The best of luck dino girls. I hope your BFPs come soon 💕

Hey there, you are welcome to stay even if it's a thread for first baby, everyone here is so lovely and supportive. we love to have some dinos with experience, i think u are just like @Gemmaemilyx here with us, who has DC also, bless all your children.

Your journey sound though, only shows how strong you are, but keep in mind nothing is impossible, we are all trying here, wishing for the best. There's nothing more beautiful than the feeling of being a mom. I wish we all can experience that soon/again🥰.

Thank you for the kind words for all dinos

Gemmaemilyx · 07/12/2024 21:42

@curliegirlie totally agree with @Heartypandaa i didn’t read the title properly and everyone has welcomed me with open arms even though I have children already. (As they will you) And these girls have been the most supportive people ever 🥰🩷 It’s a truly lovely thread where you feel heard and there’s great advice, hope you get you bfp soon, keep us updated on how you’re doing!! Xx

HE93C · 07/12/2024 21:48

@KT199 I wouldn’t worry about it being as strong as long as there is still progression though, also when I had the MC it was twins so you never know, this could be twins too! So then it might be darker cos of that haha.

I think we are going to book a private scan for NYE which would be 7w6d I think but we are with friends New Year’s Eve and would be easier to be able to tell them and not try lie/hide not drinking and eating everything haha. Scared of jinxing it though so probably won’t book it till the week before in case anything happens between now and then!

I don’t know how people wait till 12 weeks, I’m so impatient and worry too much haha.

@Gemmaemilyx how old are your August babies, have they struggled at all being behind at school with them being the youngest in the year? That’s always been a worry of mine with if I had august babies xx

Gemmaemilyx · 07/12/2024 21:56

@HE93C it’s funny you ask as I’ve been speaking to my mum and husband about it a lot recently. My son is 12 (12/8) and I knew he was absolutely ready for school, he went in and smashed it! He’s chill and does whatever he’s asked.

My daughter is 3 (4/8) so will be starting in September and she’s a little more sensitive and wilful and I’m a bit unsure how she’s going to cope to be honest!but maybe because I’m older (I was 18 when I had my son) I’m a bit more precious with her being older, and she will be fine and smash it🤣🤣

Aww that’s reassuring to know about your son! It could be a boy/girl thing too I suppose but I do think every child is different and I’m hoping the birthday/age wouldn’t make too much difference.
theres still quite some time until September so you never know, your daughter could be more than ready by then! Xx

Morning dinos, (seasoned and less seasoned ! ) 🦖🦕how is everybody today ?
@curliegirlie still no AF ? 👀
@Gemmaemilyx how are you getting on ?

I'm currently 6 dpo and lot of cramping in my back (which is what I get when AF arrives, i don't get it much at the front ). AF predicted in 6 days so we shall see ! I have been mega tempted to test when I know implantation would probs not have happened yet ! I'm annoyed at myself as I've been so chilled the past cycles, I am not this cycle 🤣 but haven't tested yet ! (I did order FRERs 🤣)

HE93C · 08/12/2024 09:40

@Lila34830 it’s so hard isn’t it!! Try wait it out as long as you can but don’t beat yourself up if you want to test!

it’s so hard to not over think symptoms too! I’ve everything crossed for you. When are you aiming of waiting until to test?

Gemmaemilyx · 08/12/2024 09:43

Morning 🥰 I’ve got different tests so can’t really track progression but I have a good line on the easy at home, a VERY faint line on the clear blue, but it’s the 25 sensitivity instead of 10 early however ….

a positive on the clear blue digital!! I was apprehensive to use as I thought I ordered the early clear blue but didn’t. Still picked it up though!

quietly excited without trying to end up getting hurt if it goes tits up again🤣🤣 however it’s very different this time to CP

In my experience even though you’re 6DPO and know it’s gonna be negative I think it’s better in my head to get it out of my system 🤣🤣 I really hope this is your month 🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼 @Lila34830 xxx

So hard this month, I think it was easy until I got the lower back pain (exact same as last cycle when I had the CP). Got my brain going !
Period is predicted on Saturday which would be 12DPO. I feel like it will be hard for me to wait that long this month so maybe Thursday at 10 dpo ?
I might go work in office all week to avoid my " ttc cupboard" at home 😂😂😂

@Lila34830 i think 10dpo is a good time to test with an early sensitivity test!! It’s sooo hard to resist though 🤣 good luck and let us know how you get on!!

I know I’m in shock I didn’t think I’d get a bfp on a digital if im honest!

KT199 · 08/12/2024 12:10

Fingers crossed for you @Lila34830 !!

Amazing to see @Gemmaemilyx 🫶🏻

I’m not sure if out of the dino club just yet, I feel exactly as I do before AF arrives 😟 real heavy feeling really low down in my pelvis/uterus!! Making me so on edge!

Gemmaemilyx · 08/12/2024 12:16

@KT199 oh no! When was your period due? I must say with my daughter I have multiple messages to my mum and sister saying I had period pains and was worried and all was okay! As long as there’s no fresh full flow blood I’d take it as it’s okay! A lot of weird and wonderful things happen in pregnancy and there’s a lot of stretching and implantingXx

Lila34830 · 08/12/2024 12:20

@KT199 awwww noooo, when is your period due normally ?? Some people experience cramping throughout the first trimester !

OP posts:
HE93C · 08/12/2024 12:23

@KT199 when I was pregnant and had the MC all of my symptoms just made me think I was coming on my period, I didn’t even test till I missed the period as I was so adamant I was coming on! So you never know xx

curliegirlie · 08/12/2024 14:12

AF arrived today, meaning ovulation probably happened CD18, which theoretically should have worked out better, given DTD sessions on CD14, 16 and 17, but hey 🙄.

Congratulations @Gemmaemilyx! Lovely to read it's all worked out for you in the end! I hope the next 8 months go smoothly for you 🥰
@KT199 keeping everything crossed for you.

Despite all my fine words, I'm probably in for the next cycle, as I doubt I'm going to get my hands on contraception before Christmas and not going to get DH to wear a condom. In a way, a BFP next cycle would be incredibly awkward as we have tickets to a whisky festival in January and Oasis tickets for Sept, but I'd still rather a baby. But I doubt Sod's Law will work, as it hasn't the past nearly 3 years (and we've passed plenty of awkward months)....

Lila34830 · 08/12/2024 15:51

So sorry to hear AF arrived @curliegirlie 😔 new cycle, new hope 🤞🏼

I've been cramping all day, lower back, and a tiny bit in my lower bell, non stop !
No implantation bleeding though...
I'm only 6 or 7 dpo so I really want to wait before I take a test but I'm being obsessive atm. I actually ran out of pre mom ones last one, I guess it's a blessing in disguise 😂

OP posts:
HE93C · 08/12/2024 15:56

@curliegirlie sorry you’re out this time, fingers crossed soon!!

I was the same last month as going to oasis in July and would have been due that day haha. Now if this one all goes well I’ll be going to oasis at 36 weeks pregnant 😂😅

maybe the more relaxed approach this month might help if you’re stressing less and got lots of distractions with Christmas etc. fingers crossed xx

KT199 · 08/12/2024 17:16

@Lila34830 @Gemmaemilyx The latest it was due was Friday, so technically only a few days late atm. I would be so sad as my lines haven’t just been faint 😟 but I did know this could happen so trying to prepare myself for the worst. I usually have AF arrive a day or two after this feeling, no bleeding as of yet but just feel anxious.

@HE93C yeah I am hoping it is nothing, but what’s meant to be will be.

@curliegirlie Sorry to hear AF arrived!! Hopefully next month is the month for you🤞

Lila34830 · 09/12/2024 08:01

Morning dinos 🦕

@KT199 how are you ? Have cramps stopped ? As PP said as long as there's no blood I would not worry 🤞🏼

Anyone in their 2WW or am I the only Dino left this cycle ? 😅
Still cramping in my lower back but way less than yesterday. I'm 7dpo... boobs are killing.
waiting to test is so hard this month!
Period is due on Saturday !

OP posts:
HE93C · 09/12/2024 08:04

At least the cramping isn’t as heavy @Lila34830 ive still got everything crossed for you x

Gemmaemilyx · 09/12/2024 08:21

@Lila34830 you’re doing so well not to 🤣🤣 I’d be doing 5 a day 🤣🤣🤣 I pray for you it’s positive 💋

@curliegirlie so sorry to hear AF arrived, hopefully you can have a chill Christmas and get your BFP in the new year 🫶🏼

@KT199 I’m with you on the anxiety it’s horrible, hoping the af pains subside for you!

I got a clear positive on the 25 sensitivity test today, which was really faint yesterday so I think I need to chill a bit and just take each day as it comes 🥰 gp suggested I get a blood test as soon as I get a positive test again though so going to give them a ring in a minute 🩷

good luck girls!

Lila34830 · 09/12/2024 08:25

@HE93C thank you lovely ! If this was implantation, it took ages 😂 if it was not and I end up having a bfn ill be so confused as I never cramp mid luteal phase 😂 I never symptoms spot as well so I will never trust myself ever again !!

@Gemmaemilyx 😂 you are the serial tester of the Dino club !
I might cave and do it on Wednesday... I ordered 2 FRER but I ran out of pre mom ones. I think it's for the best

OP posts:
Gemmaemilyx · 09/12/2024 08:33

@Lila34830 I really am 😭😭🤣🤣 good plan with the FRER! My boots 5 days early and clear blue showed clear positives way before easy at home- they’re still really faint!

Lila34830 · 09/12/2024 08:35

@Gemmaemilyx See technically since my period is due Saturday I could do a 6 days early BUT, I am only 7dpo so I don't think it would show at all ??
I assume the 6 days early are for LPs that are 14 days long ? Mine is about 11/12 days long ...
which dpo were you on bfp ??
