Has anyone fallen pregnant on metformin? Struggling really badly with my pcos symptoms, going months without a period, on the waiting list for gynaecology, gp has prescribed metformin to help regulate hormones and periods whilst waiting for specialist

Hi OP, I conceived in my first cycle after starting metformin! It did end in a miscarriage, but every cycle I have taken it I have ovulated, so for me it is clearly working. Wish you luck x

I suffered really badly with irregular peroids and went 2 years without one. I've been going through fertility treatment and was ovulating sporadically even with letrozole and clomid.

I asked for Metformin after I had a MMC in July. My consultant prescribed it as my GP wouldnt as I have "lean pcos". Since then, I have ovulated three times and I have just got a VVFL today at 9/10DPO. I was actually on holiday when my peroid started, so didn't get the chance to take letrozole this month.

Metformin has honestly worked wonders for me! Hope it does for you too xx
