Well i haven't got a clue what is going on, still no AF and did a cheapie test this morning and got another faint line, surely it should be alot darker now?

Any ideas anyone?

If there was even the fainest of colour on the test line within the time limit (which I am sure you have confirmed before) then you are pregnant, now whether it is just that the hCG is taking it's time to get into your urine (which is a lot more common than people think), or if it is something more sinister, you need to see the doctor.

I don't want to worry you at all but if it is ectopic it can be life threatening.

You need to see someone as a matter of urgency.

The GP will probably just do an internal, have a feel of your uterous and tubes, he will learn a lot from that. He may either take some blood or do an extra sensitive urine test, and you will be on your merry way, nothing to be worried about.

Go and get it sorted once and for all!

sureitsno3 · 28/04/2008 12:26

@ doing an internal!

He won't will he? tell you what i will phone him this afternoon, have a chat with him, tell him everything and if he wants to see me i will go in the morning (they had no appts today, but open surgery in AM).

I think he will just say, wait another week, he already thinks i am neurotic (kids what can i say!) so he will really think i belong in the loony asylum with this, he smirks at me i am sure he thinks mad woman.

OP posts:
NatalieJane · 28/04/2008 13:01

Let him smirk, or see the nurse.

The internal isn't too bad, better than even a smeer.

It is important that you go.

sureitsno3 · 28/04/2008 14:46

Ok, have spoken to him and he said leave it another week and i will know by then, thats what i thought he would say to be honest, and he said that by next week i will either have a strong line or nothing.

OP posts:
NatalieJane · 28/04/2008 15:32

Oh well that was helpful of him.

I think I'd have insisted on being seen TBH.

And there is no saying by next you'll have a strong line or nothing, what a ridiculous thing to say?!!!

Make an appointment with the nurse or a different doctor, one who will actually take it seriously and not fob you off.

Whether you want to be pregnant or not isn't the case, you need answers for your own sanity. It must be driving you bloody mad!

NatalieJane · 28/04/2008 15:33

Sorry... by next week.... it should say!

sureitsno3 · 28/04/2008 15:42

There isn't a different doctor he is the only one, tbh i was expecting him to say that.

Hopefully AF will arive soon, looks like that is the only way i will know for certain.

OP posts:
NatalieJane · 28/04/2008 15:46

You need someone to check you, it is like I said, with out scaremongering, there could be something very seriously wrong causing the faint pos.

I wouldn't wait for a period that is never going to show up (well not for the next 8 or so months!)

sureitsno3 · 28/04/2008 15:56

I don't think there is much chance of it being an ectopic.

For me its just the am i pg or not. Fed up of the whole thing now.

Hi sure...
i have been following your story with interest and hope that you find out soon one way or the other what is happening.
I am kind of in the same situation as you.
I was due AF on 18th April on the Sunday 20th had bleeding that lasted 36 hours, not as heavy as normal then just stopped. Nothing from about 1pm Monday until Wednesday morning i started to have brown stuff, only when i wiped!!!(TMI) and severe back ache like i had pulled something.
Did 2 ebay cheapy tests wednesday both faint +. Again Thursday and Friday ebay cheapys both faint +, went away Friday for the weekend so did not take any tests. Came back yesterday did an ebay cheapy and again a faint +. Had the brown stuff until Saturday.
I have felt, bloated, tired, achey and back has been bad until yesterday and today feels normal again.
So like you i am unsure of what is going on...Not sure if i have some naff tests or i am seeing things. I did however dip one test into a glass of water to see if i could see a faint line on it but there was nothing.
I have no more ebay cheapies left and i am debating whether to order some more???
I am slowly going insane

sureitsno3 · 29/04/2008 11:30

Hi 2bg, have you done a clearblue or any other shop bought test?

After all this i don't trust the cheapies, the only one that doesn't add up for me is the clearblues

Still no AF here, i even gave dh a bit of "quality time" last night to see if that would bring my af along but nothing...weird.

Keep posting, we can keep each other company, i think i have scared everyone else away lol and they have all washed their hands of me (i know i am annoying tbh)

OP posts:
kayzisexpecting · 29/04/2008 11:32

I got a negative with a digital test but positves with ebay cheapies and First Response.

Have you done a First Response?

sureitsno3 · 29/04/2008 11:34

I did, very early on, something like 10dpo. Haven't done one since

OP posts:
Dropdeadfred · 29/04/2008 11:34

the tests with the cross are the worst to take imo...can you both not buy a FR test today?

kayzisexpecting · 29/04/2008 11:35

The chemist here sells 2 FR tests for £7.99 and they are £8.25 for 1 in the Boots just up the road.

sureitsno3 · 29/04/2008 11:35

Will buy one today, then i seriously cannot buy anymore (dh will kill me lol)

OP posts:
sureitsno3 · 29/04/2008 11:36

I got mine in Sainsburys and it was £12 for 1

OP posts:
kayzisexpecting · 29/04/2008 11:38

If no af or bfp by the weekend I will go buy some and post them to you if you want?

sureitsno3 · 29/04/2008 11:41

Aw thanks kayzisexpecting, i will ring around some chemists and see who stocks them.

I made a right boo boo yesterday, went to the local chemist and bought some answer tests (£5 for two) after reading the leaflet i realised they are 100miu no good to me, when i am only getting a faint line on a 25miu.

OP posts:
Squackycake · 29/04/2008 11:44

clear blue are crap. second the FR suggestion. that shouldn't be faint at all at this point.
good luck x

kayzisexpecting · 29/04/2008 11:44

Thats ok. I couldn't believe it when I went in there after spending £8.25 on 1 and they had them for £7.99 for 2.

2beautifulgirls · 29/04/2008 12:06

i've done some sainsburys own very early on and very very faint + and have done wilkos own which were both negative.
I was waiting to see if ebay cheapies got any stronger before splashing out on expensive test.
Surely they would have a stronger line after a week?
might just order some more cheapies from a different seller and see what they say....
Keep me updated...

sureitsno3 · 29/04/2008 12:09

Which name chemist was that kayz? or was it just a local one?

OP posts:
Dropdeadfred · 29/04/2008 12:15

try the answer ones anyway....i got a positive on the day i was due on
