Well i haven't got a clue what is going on, still no AF and did a cheapie test this morning and got another faint line, surely it should be alot darker now?

Any ideas anyone?

My AF was due on Monday, surely they should be pretty dark by now though? or at least darker.

maybe your dates are wrong.
at the end of the day, a faint positive is still a positive, and if you are concerned, you should see your GP

i told you, i took a cheap test a few days after a very strong BFP on a boots test and the line was so faint i was surprised.

Yes but what i really don't get is the hormone is supposed to double isn;t it every couple of days, so why are they still faint.

To be totally honest, i am hoping i have got away with it, but its just these fecking faint lines that are doing my head in.

Are these cheap ones known for giving a line anyway?

mines are all faint, but the CB came up with 'pregnant'. Did first test on wednesday, I think, and still getting faints positives.

Lots of people testify to the cheapies not getting any darker!

And you are how late now?...

i HATE cheapies. for every person who got a clear bfp at 8dpo there are 10 who got faint bfps or bfn at 30dpo. go to your gp, tell them you are concerned and ask for a lab test. you are driving yourself mad like this!

I am 7 weeks pregnant and still get a very faint line on internet cheapies. Yet a First Response gives a really clear line. Internet cheapies are not worth the postage.

It took me until AF was 8 days late before I got a decent BFP on a cheapie.

Get a Clearblue Digital.

I came looking for you for an update can't believe you are still putting yourself through this.

Honestly, I really think you ARE pregnant - the giveaway bit is the hoping you have got away with it - def a sign of early pregnancy IME - oh yes and the lines and pluses everywhere, and the late AF......only a pregnant woman could have so much denial surely?

Sorry for the delay everyone, you are all being so patient and kind about all this.

My period was due last Sun/Mon, still no sign.
i need a "proper" test but will have to wait until Tues (skint ).

Hopefully AF will have appeared by then, so won't need to spend £10 on one.

these were both taken on th same day at about 8-10 days AFTER my period was late. The purple one is a cheapie and the blue a midwives test - look at the difference!

I think we all know you are pregnant.

The strength of the line generally doesn't tally with the 'strength' of the pregnancy.

I don't want to sound all grown up, but I think you would do well to try and change your mindset a bit, all the signs do point to you being pregnant, and I think if you carry on talking yourself into not being pregnant, you are going to have a fairly major shock come Tuesday.

ARGH!

Ok, have done a clearblue again, and i don't think i am pg, have put a piccy in profile (again!).

I am a week late tomorrow at least, the CB is no stronger than last weeks, which it definately should be by now, all i am thinking is that how common is it to be almost a week late with no strong BFP - it can't happen alot.

So i got another faint line, if i was it would be much darker.

Still no AF though.

CB's are well known for giving very faint positives, there is no correllation between the strength of a line, and a strength of a pregnancy, and if the test's weren't picking up any hCG, they would all by negative.

Go to the GP tomorow, explain what's going on, I think even the leaflets in the HPT's says to go to the GP after a week.

I have said before, I was 9 days late with a perfectly healthy pregnancy before I got a BFP. And I am not alone in having to wait for ages before I got a BFP.

hCG does take a little while to make it into the urine, some people never get in their urine.

When did you do the test?

Can you see faint lines?

Have just sneaked a peak at the test now, and the line is more prominent 45 mins later, but that piccie i took was after 5 mins.

You need a FR, CB/CBD are crap!

What are we going to do with you? Will this thread still be going by the time I have gotten pregnant and given birth????

Sooooo, if it was a faint BFP, would the line show more now? or would that be a evap line? because i can see the line a little better now, it has gone a bit darker with the time elapsed.

All i can go off is my 2 pregnancies i have already had.

dd - I did a clearblue (normal) the day i was due got a big, strong +

ds - did a test on the day AF due, got a neg, but got a + 4 days later.

For me to be pg now and not having a really strong + just seems a bit bizarre!

If i am pg, you can all be godparents for putting up with me though all this
