Alternating positive and negative tests

I know this likely means it’s a chemical pregnancy, and I know I should wait a couple of days before testing again, but posting for some empathy!

After a MMC in July we started trying again in October. AF due last Wednesday (ish - I don’t have regular cycles). I have since had:

  • a faint positive test on Friday evening (first picture)
  • a “not pregnant” digital test on Saturday morning
  • some faint lines on some cheap strips on Sunday (second picture)
  • a stark white test this morning

I’m preparing myself for a bad outcome, but is so confusing/upsetting!

It's very upsetting. Until AF comes there is a chance the various tests are just not picking it up, but might be a chemical :(

I'm sorry. I had one last month and it really upset me more than I anticipated.

I hope the tests are weird and you do get a BFP. When is your period due?

Oh sorry due last Wednesday! Even more upsetting. I have seen some posters as their GP for a blood test?

Thanks for responding! I’ve clearly become unhinged as I’ve tested again - two v faint positives and then a negative digital. It could just be that my hcg levels aren’t high enough yet, but given I’m at CD33 it seems unlikely…

I'm so sorry, OP.
At CD33 your test lines should be clear and getting darker.

It does look like this is a chemical pregnancy.

Oh faints on a first response is good!

Digitals might follow.

I would be testing like crazy too.

I have read encouraging posts about not getting full on positives quite far along. Some of us just start testing so early it feels "late"
