Half line Pregnancy Test

Hi, this is my first ever post, despite being a long time lurker. I’m ttc and should be 13dpo today. I took a pregnancy test (Morrisons one if it matters ?) and the dye only seemed to cover part of the test window. It did show a test line but You can see in the photo that there is a lower triangle that is stark white and both the control and test line are missing the bottom parts. I didn’t feel I could trust the result so did the second test an hour later and it was a definite negative. Has anyone else experienced this and still been pregnant or is it just a case of a faulty test?

Kinda looks invalid to me. Can you do another one?

AnotherEmma1989 · 03/11/2024 16:39

@lilla93 yeah that’s what I thought. I did a second test an hour later and it was negative. I think I was kinda hoping someone would say they’d had the same and it was positive. Did get my hopes up until it didn’t fill the test window.

Sorry 🥺 could have been negative if your urine was more diluted. I'd test with FMU in a couple of days, you'll know for sure then

I had these weird results on morrisons tests.. bottom one I could see a line but didn't look like a full line.. the top one I did after and didn't look like a clear positive either however got a different brand test the next day and it was bfp. I don't bother with supermarket test anymore, the cheap strip ones of amazon seem to be more sensitive and reliable. Good luck x

Thanks @Tryingmomma32 . I’m going to wait for AF and if nothing then buy a different test and try again in a couple of days. Won’t be using Morrisons again. Got my hopes up so much then felt so defeated when the second test was negative.

I really done like Morrisons tests - I've had very misleading results from them. I think the Boots early results are the best - they're pink dye and I've never once had anything than a stark white BFN apart from when I actually have been pregnant.
