Blood around cervix no flow

Just looking for a bit of insight really.

I went to the doctor back in may because I was not having periods I waited also to see if it was just odd few but it was 3-4 months which is very unusual for me I was a constant 5 day on time person never missed or anything different. Around 6 months of being with my partner this started (I find that odd) I've had tests for everything going to be sure and in clear for infection and my smear was normal too. Blood work everything was abnormal but my doctor didn't seem interested possibly not that bad it needed looking into, but she told me I had pcos this was new to me as I have 2 children and conceived naturally etc so can you just suddenly get it? No more investigation was done and I was told to just go back if I wanted a baby. I think it's a hormonal imbalance if anything.

But now the only way I know there is a period Is If I check myself or use a tampon (which always had only a tiny bit on the tip) it is all around the cervix like pooling not an actual flow coming out, I can't find anything out about this when I try look. But this can't be normal surely 😞 doctors don't seem to say anything except to change my diet, exercise and contraception.
