I’m trying to find some hope to cling on to, to get me through our last embryo transfer.
We are already very fortunate to have an almost 2 year old from our first round of IVF.
We had 4 embryos from that cycle. They were all C grades, so we transferred 2 initially. At the 7 week scan, both had implanted. One had a fetal pole in (and later became our son) and the other embryo had divided in to two but both were empty gestational sacs.
At the beginning of this year we decided we would start thinking about a sibling cycle. We transferred our 3rd embryo at the end of May and to our amazement it worked. I then found out at a 10 week scan that I’d had a missed miscarriage and our baby had died somewhere between 8 and 9 weeks. It was really hard. I then had some retained tissue so it all dragged on a bit.
So that brings us to now and any day I will start the meds for our last embryo transfer. I don’t have a lot of hope, I just can’t imagine that all 4 of our embryos would implant?? Not to mention making it to full term!
