Hi - I tested last night after only about a 2 hour hold (but I might have been quite dehyrdrated) and I got a faint line that got darker and is definitely pink but thin (top pic). I tested this morning with FMU using a different cheap brand from local shop and it looks totally negative (bottom pic). Has anyone had this experience? I’m about 12dpo. Flo app is saying my period is 2 days late. Has anyone had this? Is this normal? I was so excited as I’d never had a line before but now feel deflated!

Difficult to say. I had a line like that in a Boots one and I definitely wasn’t pregnant. Now you’re late, I think a line would be very clear. I would wait a few days and do a digital.

Funny you should write this. The last 24 hours the exact same thing has happened to me. Beautiful pink line on a first response yesterday morning, and then today all the tests are negative. Not even a hint of a line. I’m feeling like I have lost all hope.

Countrygirl300 · 31/10/2024 10:02

@Nic2908 oh it’s nice to not be alone! It’s so frustrating though… I’ve got some more tests but don’t want to waste them as they’re so expensive…. Now I’ve left the 2nd one this morning for a bit of time there does look to be a slight line/shadow! I’ve never even had a hint of a positive before and I was so excited overnight!! :( it’s such an emotional rollercoaster!

fingers crossed for us 🤞🏻

Ahh I'm sorry this must be so tricky! Maybe they're different sensitivities? Maybe was just enough on the first test and then not enough the second time?

I would test again tomorrow morning with a FRER? They're the most sensitive I think

Good luck, keeping my fingers crossed for you!

CarolNewYear · 31/10/2024 10:59

Could it be because the Boots is an early results and the other one isn't an early results and isn't as sensitive? I definitely see something on both pictures. Keeping my fingers crossed for you. Let us know how you get on. X

Countrygirl300 · 31/10/2024 11:53

@CarolNewYear that’s what I thought actually earlier as I checked the boots is 10ml and the other one is 25ml so maybe my HCG hasn’t risen enough yet… I’m only 12dpo so very early! 🤞🏻🤞🏻

I think I’ll have to tell my husband just to have someone to share these nerves with, although I don’t want him to be disappointed if it’s a false positive!

Can you get another early results test to check? Maybe take it tomorrow morning or later this PM? X

I can see a line on both x

Agree with others, I can see a line on both! Good luck OP, fingers crossed for you!

The cheapie tests were so faint for me for ages but the clearblue were quite clear. Don't lose hope.

Countrygirl300 · 01/11/2024 07:04

update: just had a positive digital 🤞🏻
