So this is a bit gross so I’ll keep it brief:

We’ve been trying to conceive for over 4 months now but no luck. It feels like most of his semen isn’t staying inside afterwards. Should I be doing something to prevent this? Will this make a difference?

Any advice gratefully received

Hey
We used a fertility cups with number 1 and now number 2. They keep everything in and up for the time it takes for them to get to the final destination.. without being too cryptic.
We used fertilily. They're not cheap but I swear by it. Google conception cup. X

I'm not an expert however from my understanding a lot of the leakage (sorry ew) is semen. The sperm will have travelled within seconds. Hence there is no evidence that any particular position is more successful for conception. I don't know anything about fertility cups, I suspect a lot of the reports are anecdotal?

The cup I used has peer reviewed research/ is clinically proven to increase chances of becoming pregnant and hence I chose it. I don't think it is all anecdotal. X

I used a cup after and became preheat the o my 2 times I have used it. I got pregnant with a soft disc but you ain’t get them in the UK now. I used them on only 2 cycles and got pregnant both times. Sadly I had a CP and a MMC babck to back. I have now bought a fertilily cup and this is the first cycle using it I am 1dpo so will keep you updated x

Thanks, so you put it in afterwards and it keeps it all in there?

Sorry, this is all new to me

That's right. You put it in and keep it in for no more than an hour. You can urinate, shower etc until you're ready to take it out. I'm not saying it will work for everyone but for £30 my view was why not give it a go! I also use it with fertility lubrication - apparently it helps everything get moving in the right direction. Best of luck. Let us know how you get on! X

So I’ve tried the cup a few times. Unusual experience! Fingers crossed

Yeah! They feel a bit odd that's for sure! 🤣

Joleyjojo · 02/11/2024 09:47

They feel very strange. I have used it this cycle with SMEP. Good luck and let us know x
