Is my luteal phase short?

My cycle is 28/29 days long, very regular.

My last period started on 29th of Sep and lasted about 6 days. My LH peak was and usually is around cycle day 16/17 and I ovulate around cycle day 17/18.

My luteal phase therefore is around 10 days, perhaps even shorter if I ovulate some time after the LH peak.

This month we were actively ttc and I am 99% sure I felt implantation. I was very cranky around 8 and 9 soo which never happens but then few days later my period has arrived...

I take prenatal pregnacare conception vitamins and have been for a while, I came off the pill months ago earlier this year.

I conceived my first with this type of cycle but guess I'm older now and have also had a chemical pregnancy in the past which makes me wonder if it was down to this issue...

Is there anything I can do to help this at all?

I always understood that 10 days was ok. Certainly I have a 10 day LP and it’s not stopped me getting pregnant half a dozen times. However, if you are worried seek medical advice rather than from a forum as we all have different bodies.

I realise it was an unusual situation, but I fell pregnant with my son with an 18 day cycle. When I called EPU to give them the dates, the midwife said it was impossible, but he was there wiggling and with a superb heartbeat, measuring bang on when they scanned me at 7 weeks.

I'd had a D&C 2 months before that and my cycle hadn't returned at all. I was ovulation testing multiple times a day and there was no sign, even after I'd had my first bleed.

I had what I thought was a period, then had another one 18 days later and was devastated as I didn't think it was possible with short cycles. I ended up using ovulation tests on CD 8, CD9 and CD10 just to use them up and was shocked to actually see a positive for ovulation for the first time since I'd had my D&C. We'd done the deed that week and over two of those days anyway, but didn't think it would come to much with short cycles. My next period never arrived.

Sadly, I lost my baby at 19 weeks, but the pregnancy was healthy up until that point. He was perfect and even growing a few days ahead of schedule, so that short cycle worked just fine. I'd had two early miscarriages before that with an average cycle.

I conceived twice with a 9-10 day leuteal phase.. but I did find pregnacare messed up my cycles (a quick search through the forum and I found quite a few of other similar stories)
