Not at all. 8dpo is really really early. I started testing from about 6po cos I couldn't help myself. I didn't get a faint line till 10dpo with one pregnancy and 11dpo with the other.

@donkeyleg would an early detection not even pick it up??

@S95 not always. Like I said I didn't get faint lines till then and I was using early detection ones. Usually takes between 6po-10dpo to implant then 24-48 hours to produce enough hgc to be picked up in a test

As PP says, definitely not at 8dpo, you only get elevated hCG after implantation and that likely hasn't happened yet

You are not out. I tested negative on 9 and 10dpo and then on 11dpo had a faint line. All depends on the hormones in your own body and everyone is different regardless of the test. Good luck!

I’m not sure where this narrative has come from of being out at 8dpo, it’s really rare to get a positive that early. Some people don’t get one till 14dpo and a lot of women wait for a missed period to avoid the disappointment of seeing a negative test

@Adamsapple89 it was just because it was an early detection test I thought it would pick up something of there was anything

I would recommend the easy@home tests off Amazon. It really depends how long your luteal phase is and when implantation occurs. Definitely still in with a chance
