Wrist Temp - Apple Watch

Hi

I am new to checking my BBT with my Apple Watch, I do use Premom app to mark my temps down and Ovulation sticks but I am a bit confused on my chart, it's my first time doing my temp, I'm 3 months after having a bit of a complicated missed miscarriage that ended in a D & C and my cycles seem to be non existent, has anyone had similar experience, any advice would be lovely ☺️

It’s pretty inconsistent. It shouldn’t be so up and down, did you ovulate day 12 or day 16?

I know, it has me so confused, my LH went up and all the signs of ovulation but I can't see my temp confirming it, it has me a bit baffeled 😅 I was hoping someone might have been in the same boat or seen a similar chart

I know I wonder if the watch isn’t as consistent as it should be maybe? So strange!! If you’ve only just started though my first chart was up and down. I really got the hang of it more every month I did it.

That was my thoughts also that the watch possibly was not doing its thing right, because it does seem to have stopped been so irratic lol but still some variations, I suppose I need to get a full cycle in with my period and go from there, I'm not sure if my hormones are still a bit all over from the miscarriage as well and they might be slowly starting to get back on track 🤞🏽😊

It took 10 weeks after my D&C for my cycle to return. My wrist temps with Apple Watch looked just like that until I actually ovulated and then it was obvious.

Sadly, I just lost that pregnancy, our little boy, to preterm labour and am now waiting to find out whether my cycle will go back to normal or whether it will be a mess like after my D&C. It's awful, I'm so sorry you're experiencing this too.

Thank you so much for replying and I am so sorry for your losses 😢 I can't even imagine how you must be feeling 💔

I'm 14 weeks from a negative pregnancy test after my D & C and everything just seems so erratic and all over the place, it's so disheartening, I started losing hope with the Apple Watch even though I've heard nothing but good things about it, suppose it all takes time for hormones to return but you know when you just think is something not right xx

I'm really sorry to hear of your previous loss and hope you're doing OK.
Your wrist unfortunately wouldn't be accurate enough to measure BBT. If you think about it, your hands could be anywhere just before you wake up. Outside the covers - maybe too cold. Tucked in under your body - maybe too hot. Your mouth, under your tongue, is most accurate and would read your core temp. Therefore I would disregard anything on your charts atm and start afresh. Hope this helps 😊

Thank you for your reply 😊 that was going through my mind about wrist temping but then read so many good reviews on the Apple Watch, I might wait for my period ti eventually show up and start temping with both devices and see if it makes a difference 😊
