Hi,

I have child already who is 14 months old, periods returned 6m pp (they were irregular to begin with) and I stopped breastfeeding 9m pp (May) my periods returned to normal in May and have been regular since then. Until this month. I was due to start on Sunday but it was more like very very light spotting, then Monday and Tuesday were really heavy days and then today (Wednesday) there is basically nothing. Usually my periods are 4-5 days long and heavy for the first 2 days and then lighter but still def there.
Will having a really short period affect my chances of conceiving?

Was it just this one cycle? We are not machines so can definitely have the odd month where things are a bit different for no apparent reason.

Is there any chance you could be pregnant? Implantation bleeding can happen around the time of expected period and be lighter than normal period.

I wouldn't be worried with only one month being different but keep an eye on things for sure xx

Yes it seems to be just this cycle that is like this. All the others over the last few months have been more regular.

No I’m not pregnant - I had my copper coil removed last Monday so it’s very unlikely that I am pregnant..

Thanks for your reply, you’ve made me feel a bit better! Got a bit worried as this will be the first month that we will ttc and just seems typical that it’s the one month when my period goes weird !!

I would be looking for signs of ovulation rather than the flow itself, and having an idea of when you ovulate after a bleed.
