Time after miscarriage

I sadly miscarried last week. At around 7 weeks pregnant.
first time this has happened so I am just looking for some reassurance, shares.

1. how long did you bleed after a miscarriage. I am 1 week down and still bleeding consistently?
2. how long after a miscarriage did you get a negative pregnancy test?
3. how long after this did you fall pregnant again?

I'm so sorry to hear of your loss, I had mc in 2019 which had to be cleared from surgery and I got bfn 2 weeks after surgery, I also had mc in May this year which happened at home so no surgery and I was bleeding for around 3 weeks to be honest and didn't get regular cycle until around August time, everyone is different though just depends on your body, they do say one you have 1 regular cycle you can try again (if your ready)

I bled heavy for 9 days and spotting for 2 days so 11 days in total. My period came exactly 4 weeks later. I got a negative very early 7 days after the loss so I was still bleeding but was negative.
This is my first month back ttc I let myself have one full cycle before trying again

Bleeding for two weeks is normal and it can take around the same time to test negative, or longer. The first day of miscarriage bleeding is day one of your cycle. My period returned on schedule four weeks later.

Your HCG doesn't need to be zero for your body to ovulate - there are other hormones at play, such as lowered progesterone, that will kick start the cycle regardless.

I had a mc at 7 weeks in April this year. I bled for about a week, scan at EPU confirmed it was complete so didn't need assistance which was good. I think it took about 2 weeks to get a negative test. When I got my negative test, I started doing opks and found a peak so tried again without waiting for a period. It worked. So mc was confirmed by hospital on 8th April and on 1st May I had another bfp.

The second one ended in mc at 8 weeks. This time I bled for 2 weeks and seemed a lot more unpleasant. Again I didn't need any assistance, took a test 2 weeks after the bleeding stopped and it was negative. We then took a month off trying, had 2 failed cycles, took another month off and now in the tww of a new cycle.

I read many good stories about people conceiving again without a period or conceiving within 3 months of a mc and going onto have a healthy pregnancy. Lots of luck to you ❤️

I've had 2 mc too and no tests done as appointment hasn't come through but they said even after appointment prob won't provide any further information as no tests will be conducted unless mc 3 times, rather not wait due to my age to be told to just try again so we tried this cycle!

I’m so sorry for your loss hun, hope ur ok babe iv had multiple miscarriages and they never get any easier 🥺🥺🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻♥️♥️♥️ but with my miscarriages I bleed for ages usually but 1 of my miscarriages which was in 2007 I miscarried on 14th Dec 2007 and I got pregnant 10 days later so either 24/25th Dec 2007 and if I remember correctly I bled for 5days and my 2nd son was born 22nd Sept 2008

i was shocked to say the least after just having a miscarriage and then 2months later finding out i was pregnant again and I conceived 10days after a miscarriage but apprently it can happen as ur more fertile

So sorry for your loss. I remember asking similar questions when I had an MC a few months back at 6 weeks. For me most of the bleeding happened in the morning if the MC. I had a scan that afternoon to confirm it had come away naturally. I experienced light bleeding (small clots) sporadically for a few days. Negative test almost immediately. It took 6 weeks for my period to return which was about 10 days longer than my usual cycle length and that period was very heavy, second cycle was back to normal timing. Now on third cycle since MC, still TTC.

I had an emergency surgical evacuation because I was losing a lot of blood but not passing the pregnancy tissue. After that I bled for a few days like a period and then swung between spotting and a little heavier for another couple of weeks, so probably around 3 weeks in total.

It took me 4 weeks to test negative, although it was a twin pregnancy so I was told it might take longer than usual.

I got my first period after 5 weeks and that is now my LMP for my current pregnancy (21 weeks today) as I thankfully got pregnant again immediately. I'm very grateful for that as I know it can take time.
