Weird CM this cycle

I'm TTC second baby (loads of issues to contend with like low AMH and MFI so not having much luck 😢). Had something odd with cervical mucus this cycle so just wanted to check if others experience this? I'm CD9 and it's already drying. It's the consistency I'd normally see just before period, but ive just finished one! I had watery CM CD7 and 8 but have been so ill I couldn't do any BD, which I normally would as soon as I spotted more fertile looking CM. My ovulation tests are still negative but gradually getting darker. Do we think the EWCM is on its way still and just hasn't arrived yet? I've always read that it's CM that's more reliable than OPKs. I don't know if it's illness that's thrown things off this cycle?

CM is not more reliable than LH but it's a decent indicator to get going if you aren't doing any tracking.

I've sometimes found that the cycles I seem to have loads are when I'm very hydrated and doing a lot of walking (gravity...) If you've been ill it could be as simple as being less mobile so it's not noticeably appearing. Or your body could be delaying ovulation because of illness. If your tests are getting darker just go by that.
