First time ever taken a test

Hi sorry this is the first time I’ve ever taken a test. I’m sure it’s negative but I can see a little dot on the side if that makes sense, I googled something about evaporation? Have others had this? Thank you

This is a negative test sorry. You need a thick solid line like the pic that says pregnant the dot doesn’t mean anything

It's negative. But I'd absolutely retake in a few days if AF doesn't show up.

Hi 😊 Those blue tests are know for evaps, try with a pink dye test 😊

I’d get some cheap tests from Amazon for the random testing and keep more expensive ones for confirming a line on the cheapies

Thanks all, good idea!! This one was a pink dye on the end, the blue bit is the cap, not sure if that makes any difference? Sorry I’m not used to any of this. I did a second and I’m certain that’s negative too, there does appear to be an extremely thin line but it’s extremely faint, and not thick like the other side, so it’s negative. Think it’s just the brand that does this maybe so will try another one next time.

15 days ago but I started on the pill again 2 months ago (and I take it religiously) so I bled for a good 3 weeks and then haven’t since, so my app says I’m 15 days late but I suspect it’s just my cycle all over the place. Reason for testing is because I fainted at work very briefly (sounds more dramatic than it was!) and have very sore boobs so just thought I’d try expecting a negative result. I’ve never done this before (even though in my 30s) so sorry I’m very new to the tests etc!

Can you see it too? It’s hard to pic up on camera. It’s VERY faint and thin so probably the evaporation line or something

Usually I can say it's negative or positive with an amount of certainty but I actually don't know now you've had two with similar inconclusive results. Can you go and get a digital? X

I can definitely see something on the 2nd picture. They are notorious for evap lines though. I would buy a red dye test or a digital x

Yes I might wait a few days or couple of weeks and maybe try a digital. I just feel like I’m being a bit dramatic as I’m on the pill and I can barely see any of the lines! Thanks for your suggestions xx

In my experience even the smallest faintest spec of a line means you're pregnant. False positives don't really happen... 'evap' lines are really just if someone digs an old test out the bin a few hours later and it's gone from negative to a faint grey line. I'm presuming these lines came up within ten mins of taking the test? Nowhere near enough time for evaporation and drying out etc.
honestly I think you're pregnant. Definitely try a couple different brands tomorrow with strong urine. Definitely don't leave it a couple weeks because surely it's best to know (in terms of getting booked in and also not drinking or thinking about options)

pink dye means the lines are pink- easy at home or wondfo seem to be good from Amazon
