does anyone get spotting that then completely stops before AF?

The last couple of days I have had spotting (TMI coming - just brown 'gunk'which if I hadn't used a tampon don't think I'd had even known about - kept thinking AF was going to arrive, at work, so used a tampon. Only once was there a tiny bit of reddish blood, 99% was just brown. Sorry for teh gross details ).

Now it appears to have completely stopped.

I do quite often get spotting but it normally just leads straight onto AF, never stops.

I am on CD 31 - last few cycles have been 35 days and one 26 day.

Does anyone else get this, is it normal?

Thanks

I used to quite regularly when I was on the pill, although it would usually be about a week to ten days before my period was due. Haven't had it since I came off hormonal conctraception.

Probably not much help, sorry!

*contraception, obviously, not conctraception

Would talk to your GP in the first instance.

Spotting between periods should be invesetigated further to ascertain the cause. It is often not serious but this should be checked out all the same.

Eleveld, I have pretty much the same situation as you, normally spotting leads straight on to AF. Twice I've had it where I've spotted, stopped, then went on to have AF later. Can't say whether it's normal though, sorry.
