Clear blue smiley then nothing

Hey, I am new here. Currently going through TTC. I have been testing on clear blue for the last 5 days leading up to ovulation. I tested yesterday morning and got a flashing smiley face came home from work at 20:00 tested again and got nothing. I have had problems with not ovulating in the past and now the window seems so short for ovulation. Was my surge so short i missed it ? Did i actually ovulate ? Help.

Good news you are ovulating but I’d say it was a relatively short surge. However remember you can get pregnant before and after the surge x

The clearblue one is designed to be used once a day only, with first morning urine. Try again in the morning. The flashing smily is showing higher oestrogen, not LH (which is the hormone that peaks ahead of ovulation). Oestrogen rises first, then you get a static smiley with a peak LH.
