Lines getting darker after “chemical” - please help

hi all, first time posting here so hope I do it properly.

i was going to post in infertility group but no option came up for it in the list when creating.

I recently completed my first round of ivf icsi & im currently 19dp5dt. I suspected I was having a chemical as my lines were getting lighter so was back in at my clinic for bloods a few days back. I got the results on Thursday of 37.2 and was told it was likely to be a chemical and had to get repeat bloods on Friday (results tomorrow).

All through this time, I’ve had no hint of a bleed not even one bit of spotting. I had accepted I was going to have a chemical and tested again yesterday to check the line was gone or Nearly gone.

I was stunned to see the line has gotten darker , darker than any of the lines I’ve ever had on these tests. I’ve done it again this morning and it looks darker again.

Has anyone been through anything like this? I genuinely do not know what to think. I’m not taking any medication and my trigger was on 3/9/24.

thanks in advance for any advice

Oh gosh, what a roller coaster for you lovely. I assume with ICSI you were previously taking progesterone support? I'd call the clinics emergency line today to see about restarting those? Hopefully some answers tomorrow too with the blood results.

Ah sorry, I've always done medicated and forgot that was an option! So the good part is that you're body will be doing whatever it needs to.
I've got everything crossed for you that this is some weird late implantation or low starting HCG which has a positive end.

Thank you very much I really hope so 🫶🏻

That definitely looks like it’s progressed, and the 7/8 tests honestly look ok. I was panicking about a chemical because my 12/13dpo lines were very light and didn’t progress, but from 14dpo onwards I could see a difference every 48 hours

Thanks for responding 🙂

my first responses I had taken had definitely gotten lighter so this is what’s been baffling. Although I haven’t taken one since Monday.

it’s just the hcg level that’s thrown me off big time.

Just an update.

my hcg from Friday was 88. More bloods taken today and still no bleeding or symptoms.

Will hopefully find out more tomorrow , this horrible in between stage has been awful 💔🤞🏼

Ahhh I'm so sorry, the limbo and not knowing is just awful, so hard to think about anything else, yet you feel so powerless. That HCG seems so promising though, that's more than doubled. Have you had another test since?

hey I had more bloods taken today so will find out tomorrow and if a referral to EPU is needed.

they are still saying it is not a continuing pregnancy even though my test lines continue to get darker.

feels like my body is playing a horrible trick on me 💔
