This is an evap isn't it?

Hi everyone,
I'm either 8 or 9dpo and came home and did a test. There was nothing within 5 mins, I went down stairs and came back up and this developed within 10 mins. It looks too thin though doesn't it?? 😫

I've been ttc for a year with not so much as a squinter, never had an evap or indent, literally stark white every single month! So this is huge for me. I don't even know why I did a test I haven't really thought about this month until today.

I know it's still early so I haven't given up all hope for this cycle.

The more I look the more I think it's an evap 😢

I’d say positive actually but I never had an evaporation line.

To be honest it looks positive to me. But it is quite strong for an 8/9 DPO line.

Really! If you zoom in it looks stronger on the left edge which is what's worrying me the most.....

Trying to stay optimistic as I've never had an evap before.....I know that doesn't mean this isn't one but 🤞🏼

Is it weird I don't want to tell my other half about it because I feel like putting it out into the universe out loud will make it not happen?? 😂

I've never had an evap on these tests and it's the ones I've always used! I used to stare at it for ages when it was clearly blank, held it up to the light etc but yours is clearly there. I'm now pregnant and it was when I didn't look for signs or think I was and only tested to prove myself right that it was negative, like you I went away and pottered about and came back ready to put it in the bin and it had a faint line! I'm now 16 wks ☺️

And thank you! I'm too scared to get excited as I still don't believe it isn't an evap. I just dipped another test in water to check it's not a dodgy batch 😂😂😂

That looks like it has pink to it! If that’s an evap I’ll be surprised. Hope you get a stronger positive in the morning x

Thank you! So I actually had a missed miscarriage in February after finding out at my 12 wk scan 💔 I fell pregnant again the 4th cycle after that but I think I was going through all sorts of emotions and convinced myself something was wrong even though it wasn't too long after. Keep us updated 🥰

@Firsttime0727 does the line have any colour? I never had an evap, but my first positive test at 12 dpo was very faint, but had definite colour (also after a year ttc).

I think it was an evap 😢 I did another test this evening after holding for 4 hours and bfn. Back to stark white which I know so well!!
Will still do another with fmu just to be sure. And try to stay positive that I'm still only 9dpo 💕 so it could still happen 🥺

It did have colour yes! But definitely stronger on one side of the line ☹️

Don't torture yourself by testing before 10dpo. It's extremely unlikely you'd get a positive before then. I know it's hard but it's a waste and just causes more upset.

I decided not to test this morning. Just didn't want to put myself through it. Think I will just wait until AF arrives ☺️
