Hi all can you please recommend the best fertility supplement for men? We have secondary infertility male factor, low count , very low motility and morphology. We cannot do IVF for medical reasons but I was hoping to somehow improve the quality nonetheless! Would a urologist be able to help at all or is that a waste of money? Thank you so much in advance!

My husband had similar and he massively reduced his caffeine intake, ate healthier, exercised more and I tried to get him to take wellman supplements but he forgot. I think the barely any caffeine and healthy diet were the main positive factors for us. We now have a 3 year old. As our fertility doctor said 'it just takes one little sperm...' Best of luck to you

Thanks so much!! We have a wonderful child already despite the sperm issues so here's hoping for another. As you say I suppose it only takes one! Maybe we get lucky again!

Have you read 'It starts with an egg'? I bought a 2nd hand copy off ebay and there are some useful, day to day tips for both of you. I changed from tinned tomatoes to carton of tomatoes and used more glass bowls/containers over plastic ones- especially for re-heating things .

Loose underwear- or none at all at home to keep his bits cool!
Lycopene supplements. Its naturally found in red/orange fruit/veg. ketchup etc but I read a few articles that it 'might' help with sperm quality.

Zinc supplements- normally found in 'mens' vitamins anyways
Reduce caffeine, alcohol and ideally stop smoking (if applicable).

Depending on your ages and how long TTC, have you considered a donor sperm? I only mentioned it, because we TTC 12yrs, no fertility issue ever found in either of us. Several loses and rounds of IVF. It was only that the very last consultant I spoke to suggested donor eggs to us! I was 42 by then and no, I'd never considered or even thought about it- simply because no one had ever mentioned it previously! I'm not saying that is needed, but might be something to think about IF things don't work out in 1, 2, 3yrs etc.

Hiya, sounds like your situation is quite similar to mine. Also have one child (3 years old) and have MFI. I'm not sure we can stretch to self-funded IVF so we're just both trying to be as healthy as possible before going to see an andrologist in 3 months (time it takes for sperm to regenerate). Im kind of hoping we can find out what root cause is and hopefully be able to conceive naturally again. I've attached a pic of the supplements my husband is on in case it helps. Happy to chat any time. Lots of luck to you 🙂

High strength vitamin E (400iu) and vitamin C (1000mg) were what my partner was told to take. This was advice from a top specialist.
