26 day cycle anybody else?

Hey all

we are TTC our 1st baby. I keep getting positive OPKS CD 14 and we DTD the day after - is this right? We surge 12-24 hours after a positive test don’t we? Or do we need to be doing it the day of a positive peak OPK? I’m sooo confused!

Hi, also have 26 day cycles, I normally get a positive opk on cd12 and bbt confirms I ovulate the day after however, these past months I have been ovulating on the day of my positive opk so it can be either.... if I were you I would try to dtd on the day of your opk as well to be safe. Do it in the days leading up to when you ovulate and on the day of. Not sure that after the day has much of an effect. Also a 26 day cycle usually means you ovulate earlier, so I would start trying as soon as your period ends.

Since having my first my cycles have gone to 26 days and similar to above I tend to get my peak CD13 and then ovulate CD14.

im finding when I get my peak I’m ovulating pretty soon after so as above I think I need to make sure we’re doing it the day before peak so 2 days before ovulation is predicted. Maybe something to try next month if not successful!

Sorry might be a silly question - but how do you know you ovulate cd 14? I’ve only been going by my positive peaks xx

How do you track bbt? Is it when your temp drops? Xx

So I’ve been using Natural Cycles for years and year and track my BBT each morning. Only recently been using the LH tests.
So my BBT on the app confirms my ovulation. A rise in the temperature means you’ve ovulated. Normally a consistent rise of 3 days then it confirms it.
this month mine has been all over the place! But got a big rise which means I’d of ovulated on that day.

@Mama09876 has answered it well, once my temperature rises, and stays high for the 3 days then I know I ovulated the day before it started rising. I used a bbt thermometer I got off of amazon and the fertility friend app to input the temperatures. Once you have done it a few cycles you will get a good pattern. All the best x
