Hi. I’m 42 and last 5 months I’ve had 2 periods that I’ve had symptoms (nausea and bloating) but no bleeding. I have no other peri symptoms. I don’t think I ovulated during those months as I had no discharge changes. Sorry if TMI.

so I took an at home blood test for menopause and my LH and FSH were normal.

What does this mean? I am scared I am just in peri but the blood test didn’t pick it up. We’re trying to conceive but if I am not having regular periods it’s too late for this to happen for me?

please and advice

Have you been ovulation testing to know if you are ovulating each month? I know my mum was peri at 42 but MIL wasn’t until 46 so there is no one size fits all but you could always chat to your GP. Once you’ve been trying for 6 months you can ask GP for fertility assistance x

I’ll start ovulation testing this month… seems scary I’m only 42?

Perimenopause is most commonly 40-44 so it’s not impossible but it may not be the case for you x
