Where did you do a semen analysis?

Hello!

After another unsuccessful month of TTC, we would like to get my husband tested.
Where did you do a semen analysis?

I know there are some online ones like Mojo, but these all are quite expensive at £200, probably because of the whole kit and shipping etc… fertility clinics tend to be even more expensive!

Is there any more affordable way of doing this?
He would be totally happy to just go somewhere directly if it was more affordable, so wondered if you knew where I could find places like this.

My husband did his through the gp. Requested it and went in about ten days later then got results after about a week I think. All very quick and free!!

Oh amazing! I thought they wouldn’t do this for everyone though. Isn’t that usually just for couples who have been trying to get pregnant for over a year unsuccessfully?

I think it depends on your age and stage. I was over 35 so only needed to have been trying for six months. My husband is 5 years younger than me though so I prepped him to push for it but in the end I needn’t have bothered. He literally phoned up and asked for it and they said yes. I think he might have mumbled something about how long we’d been trying for but didn’t have to lay it on thick. I assume you’ve undergone tests as well? My husbands sperm was fine but my tubes are blocked she we’re doing ivf
