9 weeks pregnant after severe tragic loss. One of my twin boys was stillborn and his twin died 4 days later in the NICU. This was 10 months ago

I've been awful sick and nauseous since 5 weeks. Vomiting up to last night, no appetite, the works. I also had an uti last week and I'm on antibiotics since two days ago. I've woken up today feeling relatively fine, no nausea or vomiting. Now I'm really worried. My boobs are still quite sore but I'm worried I'll miscarry. I've a scan in two weeks and I'll be nearly 11 weeks then.

Oh god you’ve been through, I’m so sorry for what you’ve been through and I can totally understand why you’re worried.

i don’t think symptoms vanishing overnight is a sign of anything untoward though, it could be one of those random pregnancy things. Especially in the absence of any other signs like bleeding or pain. Even those ladies who have a missed miscarriage often continue to have pregnancy symptoms. So for me, I felt 0 signs with my first at all, then 13 weeks felt utterly exhausted and then woke up 14 weeks and felt right as rain.

if you’re really worried, can you get a private scan? Might have to pay but for peace of mind?

it’s completely understandable that you’d feel incredibly anxious after what you’ve been through, but try to remember these are thoughts not facts. Xx

In my last pregnancy I had it where the nausea and sickness came and went for days at a time, even up to a week it disappeared. I’m 9 weeks now and my nausea has pretty much gone since Monday and I haven’t been sick since Sunday. I was very bad on Sunday though. I think it’s due to the hormones levelling out and also the placenta is starting to (but hasn’t fully) take over. So it’s now between the two until it fully takes over at 12-14weeks.

I do understand the worry though. I had a missed miscarriage before, then my son, and now this pregnancy. Even though I have said all of the above even I worry when my symptoms disappear.

Very sorry for the loss of your twins.

Please try not to worry about the symptoms coming and going as this is completely normal in the first trimester and has no bearing at all on the viability of the pregnancy.
You'll probably find everything comes back with a bang in a couple of days.
Good luck with your pregnancy
