I have been on the mini pill now since the end of May however I realised the other day that I had a a spare one or two in the packet so I must have missed one at a time over the last week or two as I had been unwell. Had unprotected sex with hubby, which we never do ….we have faced so many challenges in conceiving in the past and view our family as complete now that we have our three children …and a fourth C-section would be high risk for me… How typical it would be for this one off to result in a pregnancy!! But also why does the idea of this not scare me when it definitely should. Argh. As women do you think we are just built to always want more babies? Despite what pressures that would add to our lives lol.

I think it's individual. Plus more women are forced into having smaller families now due to lack of accessible childcare/ trying to retain a career/ the cost of everything now/ lack of affordable housing. So I guess there's the logic brain that says it makes sense to stop, your heart maybe wants differently.

I think you've hit the nail on the head there. Head over heart. Absolutely couldn't work if I had a 4th due to cost of childcare v income and then the mental health and financial pressures that would put on us as a family would mean it wouldn't be enjoyable for any of us. :(
