Positive ovulation test 2 days after sex, what are my chances ?

Just that really . I took an ovulation test cd11 and it was really dark! I think it was maybe a tiny tiny bit lighter than the control line so not sure if that counts as positive . But had sex that night anyways. The next day I took another test looked the same and then today I took one and it’s blazing positive , darker than control line. Partner is out of town so won’t get another chance :( I still don’t get the whole thing , does my positive today mean ovulation is gonna happen within 2 days? Would that then mean I had sex 4 days before ovulation meaning my chances are probably slim?:(

Ovulation is typically 12-48 hours after your positive OPK and sperm can live inside you for up to 5 days so you do have a chance! Good luck x

I’ve heard that it can last up to 5 days in right conditions but thought that to be pretty rare especially if you only do it the once !

only did it once, 3-4 days before ovulation. And I’m 41!

@Ella2001 yes! Just out of curiosity because I had them leftover though not because we were ‘trying’

Sperm can live for 5 days so there is definitely a chance!
When is DP back? You could ovulate 24-48h after positive OPK and eggs live about 24h

We dtd the night before I got a positive ovulation test. I usually ovulate the day after the positive/peak. I’m pregnant from that cycle.

In the exact same situation.
Saw a dark-ish line, DTD, then got a darker line the next day. (Just the once too.) Research says actually you want sperm waiting for egg so might have actually been great timing.. just have to wait and see. Best of luck to you.
